“Great location, amazing food. Me and my best mate had an overnight stay, 3 course meal and breakfast in the morning. Great location for exploring the area for walks, villages and Alton Towers. We checked in and we had a room facing a field of sheep at the front which was lovely. Our room was cosy and had a highland cow theme, bed was really comfy. The usual tea and coffee making facilities, ensuite bathroom, TV. We had a three course meal in the evening each and each dish was full of flavour. The atmosphere for a Friday evening was busy but calm, really nice vibe. The warm white lighting and the decor with the painted map of the area on the wall added to the feel. The staff were friendly and attentive. Our breakfast the next morning was spot on. We both went for the full English, tea and orange juice.”

“The food was absolutely lovely. The waitresses were polite, friendly and very attentive. The restaurant itself was very romantic, with lovely lighting, candles and decor, and everyone was talking quietly with no raised voices. Highly recommended !”

“Just beautiful! Absolutely loved it! The food, the ambience and the service. A great place for a catch up, going for a meal or just enjoying a drink. The venue has a few different rooms creating a different vibe in each one. We were placed in the orangery. Great in the summer but can get quite cool in the autumn/winter months.
We were enjoying a meal for a staff member leaving. I specifically asked for an area near the pizza oven but unfortunately this was not granted. However the meal was lovely. We all thoroughly enjoyed our food and had a great evening. I’ve been here twice and both times it’s been a great experience. Thank you. ?”
“Nice cosy country pub. We arrived towards the end of lunch service, and the staff accommodated us without a fuss. The Pie of the day (lamb and mint) was delicious. A good selection of drinks and beers. Highly recommended.”
