First of all how good to find a restaurant where the seating is actually comfortable. We visited for the first time today and it was superb from start to finish. The food is the best quality. The staff are excellent. In fact staff in other restaurants would do well to learn from them. The decor and views are lovely. It is also worth mentioning that it is all on the level so good for those with limited mobility. We will definitely be returning!

Visited as a large group booking (+10 people) for a works Christmas meal. On arrival we were seated prompted and even though several members of the group arrived at different times the staff were very attentive with getting us drinks whilst we waited for all to arrive. All the food arrived at the same time & was beautifully presented and cooked perfectly. The treacle tart was amazing and the whole experience made for a lovely afternoon.

Fabulous place, both beef and vegan burgers were delicious. The place is spacious, yet cosy with a great ambience. Great choice of drinks as well.

Absolutely wonderful meal with 3 friends ! Service was excellent from 3 professional and friendly staff Difficult choices - what to have/choose from the menu ! I had blade of beef which was so tender and tasty. The horseradish mash and creamed cabbage was gorgeous. Thanks very much to the chefs - you did us proud !

Thought our meals were expensive for what we chose an my wife’s fish batter was inedible. Drinks prices were OK and or sweets were too but the main course let us down.

Great service, deservingly busy restaurant, highly recommend the scallops and black pudding starters!Burgers had a lovely and unusual beetroot relish which really cut through the beef. I usually prefer french fries to chips but the thick cut chips were very nicely cooked and light, rather than heavy and oily. The beef and fish were also reported as excellent. The cheesecake for dessert was light and creamy, with a lovely caramel apple combination.

My husband and I went yesterday evening for a meal and drinks. We live nearby and have been meaning to go for a while. We were shown to a lovely table in their conservatory. I have to say that the service was second to none. Drinks and food order taken quickly and the food arrived quickly too. I had scallops and beef as a main with extra seasonal veg. The presentation was so good and the food mouth watering, so very good indeed. The Malbec they serve by the glass was very good too. We had drinks outside after our meal as we enjoyed it so much, we didn’t want to leave. We will return very soon and thanks for the fabulous service and food.

Nice venue, helpful staff, really good food which was well presented. We had a late booking but there was no ‘ sorry this is off the menu’ as I have experienced elsewhere. The car park is ok but it means reversing into the main road. We were ok as it was late but could be a bit difficult on a summer’s evening due to cars parked in the road. This shouldn’t put anyone off visiting, it really is a nice place.

Had an early dinner. The conservatory is lovely and bright with well spaced out tables. The scallop starter was tasty, as was the soup - although it was far too hot!The chicken pie and halloumi & chips were both very nice, especially the peas - really different and tasty.Vegetarian options: Very nice halloumi & chips.Parking: Managed to get a space in the car park as we were there at 4.30 pm. Not many spaces though, so I can imagine people have to park on the road when it's busy.

A great find for our Wedding Anniversary late lunch date! Compliments to the chef, the food was beautiful and the service was polite and attentive from start to finish. We felt that for the quality of food served it was certainly good value for money! Would definitely recommend a visit (we certainly will when back in the area!!!)
