It's lovely to visit this little pub as soon as you walk in the back door thd old fashioned pub smell of my youth stirs up memory's of the good old days. The pub is small but just right we sat in the top section for our Christmas lunch at a lovely set out table complete with a tablecloth. All stayed nearby after a wedding.visited with 10 people including 2 small children, the service was excellent both children's meals were served just before the adults allowing them to settle before we all ate together.The pies served to each of us were all different and everyone agreed that all were excellent, I agreed to treat everyone so I was amazed how inexpensive they were.The landlord was a real character, and the pub full of old charm.Cannot praise the entire experience...read full review

First visit in 25 years and nothing has changed. Decent food at a good price. Service was good and staff pleasant.However Gent's toilet smells awful and a refit is long overdue. Not top of my list for a revisit but I wouldn't avoid it if I was in the area. ( Pub not toilet)
