Our friends suggested we meet at Hackney house for lunch. We booked because it can be busy-and it was. The food was very good, freshly cooked and very tasty. Easy to see why it is so popular.
Totally echo the view below the best turkey Christmas Dinner I've had eating out in years . We had regular and small and the turkey was delicious and plenty of vegetables which at most places lately you can count them singularly. The gravy hot and tasty proper meat juices and warm plates. The desserts well clementine cheesecake my friend had and I took home the lemon meringue pie both delicious. 4 other options available. Nice change today, the food and drink has always been very good and today the welcome and efficient friendly service matched it. Excellent experience today. This is a nice cafe with marvellous cake, scones and meals. Open till 4pm, parking in the street outside and close by. There are more tables upstairs, it's bigger than it looks.
