Pubs • “Great little pub serving ale and cider straight from the barrel/keg. Good selection. Seems to be an old mess or community space. Friendly service and interesting, happy locals when I went in on a sunny day. Outside seating. Highly recommended, especially if you’re into cider! ? ? ?”

The puddings were a throw back to school dinners with cornflake and custard which tasted devine and a mint aero cheesecake with a fresh taste. very good experience made my daughters birthday a very nice occasion.Vegetarian options: Great hallumi.Parking: Copice next the black Swan has plenty of parking for free.”

An amazing range of Gluten Free (most of The Menu could be made without gluten) and Vegan/Vegetarian options I have to say I would not give It any less than 5 Stars.”

Pubs • “Booked for a family get together Sunday Lunch, 10 of us… The table was reserved in the side area off the main bar big enough for 10 / 12 very comfortably and almost like a private dinner serviced room. Wasn’t expecting to be out of the main sitting areas, an unexpected bonus for a Family gathering. The booking process - could not have been more friendly and welcoming on the phone, gave us reassurance. The pub location - Just on the A6 in Belper, can’t miss it, large car park handy as raining and didn’t have to walk there. The food - superb, really was, traditional and generous portioned perfectly cooked roast beef, Pork and wish and chips for the grandchildren, all presented at same time… not always the case when kitchens are busy. The service - friendly, smiling attentive staff all focused on 100% customer service, felt well cared for throughout. The cost - subjective I know but we all felt we had excellent value for money, right pricing where you don’t feel you’ve been overcharged for the menu and drinks we enjoyed. I’ve chosen to write the above solely as when your expectations are exceeded at every level it should be acknowledged for the team delivering it and for anyone considering a visit - give it a try …. “A beautiful small pub/restaurant with a fantastic range of great food and friendly service. The menu has a good range and all the food our table of 12 ordered was fantastic and quickly bought out together. The pub is very popular so booking is essential.Parking: The car park is fairly small for the popularity of the pub and isn't surfaced well. There is free street parking further up the road however.”
