Came at 5.30 on Saturday, didn't reserve a table but lots were already reserved. Lovely vibrant atmosphere, we ordered the fruit beer which was absolutely incredible. Then ordered an Albert's platter between two (hungry and big appetites!) Wow, we were very very impressed, I wasn't expecting such quality food if I'm honest, we were very pleasantly surprised.Fully recommend the food here, very very nice! 2 pints and the platter cost £35, which for two was absolutely incredible value for such good food. Will be back!

We got there at 6.45 pub was absolutely rammed ,went to bar to get a drink told the barmaid we had a table booked so took my card for a tab ,she went away came back took us into the dining room and never saw her again, wasn't told we had to go to bar to order nothing had to fetch menus ourselves, 15mins later I went to ask a server Logan who was most apologetic and said it was because of the show next door which we knew nothing about ,why do they take the booking if they can't meet them ?? So paid for drinks and left after being told 45mins wait fir food!!! It was my partners birthday absolutely diabolical service not impressed at all !!!

Booked for a group of 10 of us, day before New Year's eve.The atmosphere was great, food was delicious and the cocktails were beautiful.Will definitely be visiting again soon.Vegetarian options: There was plenty of choice for vegetarians, and the menu was clearly marked.

My partner and I came here for a meal and drinks. We ordered a drink and went to find our table after being told there would be one with our name on. Nobody told us it was table service so after around 15 minutes, we asked how we order; we don’t mind it not being table service, it would just be nice to be told that. The carpet in the smaller dining area was dirty and needed a good clean but the decor was nice. No tables have table numbers so ordering was ridiculous and when the waitress came out, we had to let her know the food she was carrying was for our table. Starters arrived: a bruschetta, which was pleasant, a fish cake which was ok and some garlic mushrooms which my partner said were lovely. Mains - mine was a total disappointment. My partners curry wurst was nice but my goulash was cold in parts and the beef was extremely fatty. There is no way it was not microwaved. The sauce was ok but I could not eat a meal that had some parts hot and some cold so I asked the waitress if it was microwaved. She didn’t deny it but just said they will make me another. The replacement came out boiling hot, which again, I don’t mind but I felt they were trying to be smart. The meat was again full of fat and I just could not eat it. Usually if a customer has had to have a meal replaced, a waitress would usually ask was everything ok but we were ignored. Oddly, a chef came out of the kitchen to remove the plates on a table next to us - we knew she wanted to see who had sent the food back and that is also fine, but strange behaviour. Nobody really seems to be bothered about the customers in general. The table next to us left a lot of food and the waitress didn’t ask was everything ok. I am really disappointed as we had high hopes but I wouldn’t go back.

we went here Christmas day for a free Christmas dinner , we was served and looked after by a lovely lady called Sandra . Nothing was to much trouble and she was really friendly and made our day so nice .
