From working in and around Derby, I've tried a few chip shops over the years in the city. After recommendation from a work colleague about Sussex Circus I decided next time I'm in the area I would call in. I'm so glad I did this is the best one by far. The fish was tasty and the batter was just right, chips were also cooked perfectly for me. The prices are very good in my opinion as so many other chip shops have gone up a lot in recent times. Delicious. I'm very fussy and a have a delicate stomach since Covid. Batter golden and crispy. Chips golden (not anaemic and dry). Peas hot when my hubby got home. The first time I've enjoyed chippy tea in a long while. Will be back.

In my view these are the best fish and chips in this part of Derby. It's a traditional fish and chip shop, though you can get a kebab if you really want one. With fish and chips this good though why would you choose anything else. If you want a large fish, it's worth asking the friendly team to pop one in while you are in the queue since they don't always have some ready.
