I'd give this place 0 stars for service if I could, but since that's not an option, I'll settle for one. Our experience today was awful from start to finish. When we walked in, an older staff member looked at us like we were stupid just because we wanted to order a few starters. He took our order, but barely looked at us and seemed completely uninterested. The food did take a reasonable amount of time to arrive, but what really stood out was the complete lack of engagement from our server. When he finally brought out our food, he didn't even acknowledge us - he just held out the bag and handed it over without a word or even making eye contact. The contrast between his initial unfriendly demeanor and the otherwise acceptable wait time for our food made the experience feel particularly disappointing. As a result, we'll be taking our business elsewhere and exploring other options that prioritize customer service.

Called from work for our monthly team curry, it's the 1st time we've all eaten here and it was very nice, all the food was hot, it took its time to be brought to the table but we were early and it was worth the wait for some of us, portions were about right for one person.

Got a takeaway delivered from these boys last week and everything was on point!
Food arrived much quicker than the estimate given (t'was a Saturday after all so l was prepared to wait) and when it did come it was delish!
I've tried other Indian-inspired cuisines in the area and this one will be my go to from now on!

We called in at 930pm and ordered food promptly knowing they closed at 1030pm, the waiter looked unhappy that we were in an hour before they closed, service continued without a smile and once we'd paid the bill we were informed 'they were now closed' which felt like 'leave now' food was ok, service not great at all..felt completely rushed and unwelcome so either go with plenty of time to spare or better still don't go at all..

Food was decent quality and good value for money. Service was excellent.Only thing that spoiled the atmosphere was a young lady at a table close by who had a very loud voice and treated us all to continued use of the eff word!

Third visit to Samad in the last 18 months. Great food, great service (Even on New Years Eve) friendly, attentive staff, lovely clientele (yobbo free) Quite an intimate dining experience compared to other Indian restaurants in the area. No niggles whatsoever.
