We've been to a lot of cafes with cats both in the UK and abroad. Some are flashy, others not so. This not-for-profit enterprise falls into the latter camp - the surroundings are basic but the cats are some of the most beautiful and loving we've ever encountered. They will happily sit on your cat... and climb on your shoulder. I didn't want to leave! It's the only venue I've ever been to where the cats have an outside area so bonus points for that. They are in a separate area to the cafe.We had very good coffee and an excellent margherita pizza made by Adam, the owner. He was very friendly and chatty. So too was Abbie, one of the volunteers, and we ended up sharing photos on our phones of our cats! It's good to see a cat cafe that isn't all about making profit - but cares for cats and people, as this venue is also a place for therapy - and what better therapy than spending time with those gorgeous cats.

Spent a wonderful afternoon here and enjoyed a biscoff pizza. Beautiful friendly cats and such friendly staff. Certainly recommend.

Absolutely amazing place, super cute cats, amazing service and all around a fantastic atmosphere. Me and my partner both loved our experience there, will definitely go again.

Probably the best cat cafe we've been to so far, with the friendliest cats ever. They willingly rest on your lap and are super nice. Also really nice staff with good service and tasty pizza.

We had a great time at Cat Village North. The kitties are very sociable, sweet and well cared for. Can definitely recommend to any cat lovers!

This is not a cat cafe as you'd expect. It was like a squat. Way too many cats and many had runny eyes. Owner was more interested in telling of his other ventures which we were clearly not interested in. We just wanted to be left alone with the cats. Didn't eat as it was filthy. Stank of urine and there was feaces in a few places other than cat litter trays!

Very very disappointing. Photos of food are very deceiving. Won’t be here again.PLEASE READ BEFORE DECIDING TO VISIT.- Arrived and the outside looks like a dump (see pictures). In fact, we had to triple check it was the right place as it looked like it was closed and had been abandoned. The inside wasn’t much better, looked untidy. This is literally just someone’s house that’s been converted.- Only one volunteer inside, she was nice enough but couldn’t deal well with the (fair and calm) criticism we made and looked like she’d just got out of bed. Completely unpresentable.- Very awkward/Odd/ quiet atmosphere, no one was else was there. The only staff member there was quiet/lacks confidence to be the only person welcoming and introducing everything.- We were told there’s no physical menu to give us because they’re re-doing everything on it and the only thing they have to offer us is pizza. Nobody wanted a pizza plus 2 of us had basic dietary requirements that wouldn’t be accounted for with a pizza. (Bare in mind we haven’t eaten today because we booked to go out to lunch here for my mums birthday treat)- In the end we only ordered water and coffee. The coffee in which came red hot in a glass and couldn’t be held?! Terrible service.- The toilets were dodgy, broken toilet seat, cat crates everywhere and cleaning equipment. Weird vibe.- To top it off we paid around £40 for the privilege of all of the above. We understand that goes towards the cats but we might as well have donated online considering the experience.- In conclusion don’t bother, it’s a dump and it’s a cafe that doesn’t give you any food choice!Pros- The cats. There was a great variety of breeds. But i’d highly recommend just going to another cat cafe. There’s a lovely one Stafford. (And York if you’re up there)

First of all, really good pizzas. Nice chilled out atmosphere, cats are always ready to greet you. I love that the cat area is separate to the café and allows you to enjoy food and drink without eating into the timed cat visit. (Pardon the pun)

Unprofessional and unreliable!Booked a visit 11 days in advance of attending and recieved two email confirmations. When we arrived it was all locked up, rang and knocked three times and stood out in the cold 15 minutes waiting and no one answered the door.We went and sat in the car whilst I messaged to find out what was happening, rang the number I finally found and no answer. My partner went and knocked one last time and a young girl answered and said "sorry I didn't answer " by this stage we had been put off from going in so left.I finally received a message back apologising with the reason being "members of staff are off ill with a bug"We had travelled 45 minutes to get there and this was booked 11 days in advance, when you become ill and wasn't able to operate the cafe you should have cancelled bookings. This spoilt what should have been an enjoyable visit to see the cats on New Year's Eve.I won't be thinking of booking in future due to this and will look to other more better run cat cafe's.

- Arrived and the outside looks like a dump (see pictures). Looked like it was closed and had been abandoned. The inside wasn’t much better, looked untidy. This is literally just someone’s house that’s been converted. - Only one volunteer inside, she was nice enough but couldn’t deal well with the (fair and calm) criticism we made and dressed like she’d just got out of bed. Completely unpresentable. Unhygienic due to her long hair down & petting/picking up cats when she’s the only one preparing food & drink. - Very awkward/odd/ quiet atmosphere, no one was else was there. - Cafe / food area smelt of cat urine as soon as you walked in. The room at the back with cats in smelt even worse. - We were told there’s no physical menu to give us because they’re re-doing everything on it and the only thing they have to offer us is pizza. Nobody wanted a pizza plus 2 of us had basic dietary requirements that wouldn’t be accounted for with a pizza. The coffee in which came red hot in a glass and couldn’t be held?! The tap water in which came bottled… come on it’s 2024?! Terrible service. - The toilets were dodgy, broken toilet seat held together with tape, cat crates everywhere and cleaning equipment. Weird vibe. - To top it off we paid around £40 for the privilege of all of the above. We understand that goes towards the cats but we’d rather have donated online considering the experience. - In conclusion don’t bother, it’s a dump and can’t really class itself as a cafe if it’s offer 1 good choice. Went for my birthday party, the food was amazing I may have had a whole pizza and more to myself. Definitely walked out of there feeling a stone heavier ?. We had vegetarian pizzas, meaty pizzas to cheesy garlic bread ? Pizzas came out fast and we're immediately devoured

Really enjoyed going here on our second visit. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the cats are delightful. Had a really lovely time and definitely will be going again. We had about 6 cats come and sit with us. Perfect for cat lovers. There is a smell, but it is completely understandable with the amount of cats and there is bound to be a smell. Awesome cat cafe, very pleased!

Such a heartwarming place! Both cats and staff are very friendly. Cats come up to you on their own and want to be petted. We enjoyed wonderful tea, latte, and cakes as well. I would call this place either cat heaven or fluffy kingdom.Parking: Just approach the café, turn onto a side road and park on the street for free.

This cafe is booking only!Booked in with my sister and friend to see the cats and have a bite to eat. The servise is so friendly and quick when it comes to receiving your drinks and food. Whilst waiting for food my friend and I played "cards against humanity". We had a freshly made garlic bread pizza and pepperoni pizza wich they they both tasted absolutely divine. For desert we had a smores pizza loaded with toppings which was the 1st ever dessert pizza I've ever had and it was so good the melted marshmallows melting in your mouth "I mean what more could you want". When I t came to the cat room they were all so friendly and nit shy att all to purch on my lap for pets and even climb on my back and shoulders cuteness overload. They all get along very well with there being the hierarchy within cats. The room was nicely layed out and clean when we came in. Whilst we were chilling out with the cats we say and played the switch together with was a fun experience . Overall the experience was a 10/10 with the friendliness of staff and inclusiveness. The owner is very passionate and caring with what he does and how he displays his care for every individual. Cant wait to book again. Highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: Everything is kid friendly as long as the parent looks after there child(s).Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheel chair ramp for those who use one with a different entrance especially for that.
