The excellent food is the only thing keeping this review at 4 stars. Waited 25 minutes from being seated to even having a drinks order taken. Waited another 25 minutes after finishing mains to order dessert. Lots of staff, just not doing a lot. Most of them stood at the till looking bored. Sunday roast was excellent though and the staff we did interact with were nice.

Fantastic experience in all areas. Any vegan coeliac in a wheelchair who can enjoy a full meal in a restaurant with no hiccups is very fortunate. Food and presentation was excellent and I so enjoyed the luxury of choice. I particularly enjoyed the Moroccan Falafel. It was also good to have a proper dessert - Frangipane and Raspberry Tart. Sadly not the usual five star review. We were there for the tapas evening - as usual the place was busy, but with a lovely vibe. We sat, placed our order including bread and olives to nibble while we waited. They arrived reasonably promptly, but 50 mins later our food hadn’t! Our server was charming, and then the food arrived en masse. So instead of a leisurely graze, after such a long wait we fell on it like gannets, and it was gone in a flash! Not your best evening Ego. .
