Had a lovely, relaxing trip on the Judith Mary Canal boat today, from Whaley Bridge travelling along the High Peak Canal, which was very enjoyable. The Atmosphere aboard the boat was great, it was decorated out for Christmas, the staff were all very friendly and helpful, working very hard to make sure everyone was happy. We had a Christmas meal, which consisted of a Turkey batch, roast potatoes, pig in blanket and a stuffing ball, served with gravy and cranberry sauce, followed by a very tasty warm mince pie and fresh thick double cream.(included in price)You can have an alternative menu for dietary requirements arranged when booking. There is a well stocked bar on the barge, serving beers, lagers, cider, wines, and spirits, with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, mulled wine, and speciality coffees, all at reasonable prices. There are toilets on board, which are clean. The trip lasts roughly 2 hours, but to be honest, time went so quickly. hardly noticed .Trip turns around at some point during the cruise, so you end back up at Whaley Bridge.

Food was tasty and plentiful, the staff came round with 2nd helpings for all. Drinks are very well priced and the staff were lovely. Pity about the weather. Would like to do it again in the summer.

I attended the afternoon cruise this afternoon with my wife, child and mum. None of us could fault the welcome, food, atmosphere or the service in any way at all. The boat was beautiful and we were quickly made to feel very welcomed by Suzy and the staff. The food, hot pot with crusty bread, was very tasty. A great selection of drinks to accompany and finished off by a lovely and decently sized portion of apple pie with cream to finish off a very well spent and relaxing two hours. My mum has already put her request in for a return trip at Christmas. Thank you Suzy and team. Dave, Sian and Harrison.Kid-friendliness: The staff were extremely friendly with Harrison.

We had a wonderful trip out on the Peak Forest Canal on the Judith Mary on Saturday. We had yummy hotpot followed by apple pie, both freshly cooked. A well stocked bar and super friendly staff completed our perfect trip. We'll definitely be back.Vegetarian options: There was definitely a vegetarian option, but we didn't look at it because the hotpot was our favourable choice for a February afternoon.

Had a lovely boat trip yesterday, on a coach trip with Bibby's of Ingleton, and called for Hot pot and Apple pie and cream, a lovely couple of hours with a good crew, I was told to keep my head down because I stand 6'5" inch tall
