I have alcohol intolerance so, I can’t try the beer-battered fish, but my partner had the scampi - DELICIOUSLY good!

Visited tonight whilst staying in the beautiful Castleton for a long weekend. My partner loves fish and chips but I usually prefer something lighter. Both of us were very happy with our choices! He had the full fish & chips with mushy peas and he said it was one of the best he’s had in a long time.I opted for 2 fish cakes and mushy peas (both homemade which I was really impressed with) - absolutely delicious!I wish all fish and chip shops made homemade fish cakes now…Great service with a smile and an absolute bargain too at around £14 for both of us!Thanks :)

OMG. The best fish, chips and curry in the UK! Fresh and piping hot. Fish must have been caught today. Queued up outside for 15 mins. Well worth it. Keep up the great work guys. Btw it closes at 7 on a Friday and they were still queuing up outside at 730

Nice chippy and well priced unlike the 1 down at the carpark which is a ripoff and not as nice. Drinks well priced too so save your cash and go here if you can. Opens at 12

Spent a week in Castleton with lots of good food but been starved of a good fish and chips. Come Friday, Castleton Fish and Chips delivered to perfection. Superb service, food freshly cooked and all amazing value (even chucked in a couple of extras as it was closing time). Would recommend to all, 5

Excellent. Visited Castleton for a walk and to visit the caverns. We walked past the chip shop on the way out and decided to stop on our way back. Tucked away in a back street with limited opening hours. We had Fish and Chips which were lovely. Freshly cooked and tasty.

Limited opening hours but well worth it. After a week in this lovely Peak District village, we really fancied fish and chips and this place did not disappoint. Superb customer service, delicious fish, chips, scampi, sausages, fritters and mushy peas and excellent value - they threw in extras as were closing. Easy five stars
