We just enjoyed some chips.Friendly place and very quick even though it was busy.Delicious and fresh, cooked in rapeseed oil and fried in separate deep fat fryer. So happy as I am VEGAN!!To all you vegans out there, make sure to visit :-)

Been meaning to grab some fish & chips from here for a while as I’ve heard lots of positive about the place. Finally got round to doing so yesterday, very tasty and a good portion.The shop had lots of character and a good choice of food.If in the area be sure to grab something from here!

I cannot remember having fish n chips as good as these. Fresh, fried to order, haddock was sublime and flaked beautifully, chips were cooked to perfection, mushy peas were really tasty (and traditional tasting too - so many chippies have lost the art of a good mushy pea) and portion sizes were perfect. Add to that, staff were really friendly. Not too expensive either. Same price as my local chippy. Wonderful and thank you to the staff at the Toll Bar.

Lovely little family run fish and chip shop in the picturesque village of Stoney Middleton. Excellent service from the lovely staff and the best fish and chips you can get! Definitely recommend and is top of my list.

We was Looking forward to trying the Toll Bar as it had come highly recommended but it was quite disappointing. The fish was lovely but badly let down by the rest of the meal, the chips were very very dry ( not fresh at all) peas were a little hard and bland, and the gravy was extremely watery and tasteless. Such a shame as the fish was super!

Excellent. Crispy batter on the fish, not soggy or oily. Great chips - made with realPotatoes and tasted like it too. Decent peas and curry sauce. Everything was cooked to order, which makes a massive difference. All in all, couldn’t fault it.

It is just the best, we travel 15 miles once a week to go there. Always spot on,fish is cooked to order. At busy times prepare to wait but it's busy because its good!

Best fish & chips!We were staying in the local area on holiday and came to the village just for this chippy.Ordered 2 reg fish & chips (which were massive) and 1 portion of mushy peas, came to just over £20 which was excellent value for the size of the portions and the quality of the food.
I had fishcake chips and beans. I was a large portion for a fair price. I really enjoyed it.

An unexpected surprise, I 100% was not expecting top quality fish ? & chips ? in the middle of nowhere, superb fish and chip, definitely worth a visit if in the area, highly recommend ??(sorry no pictures… I eat it in no time )

We visited on a Thursday evening after it was recommended by our Airbnb host The queue of people waiting for their fish and chips outside is a good sign. It is obviously very popular and a small car park is available opposite, although most parked along the road. The staff were friendly and even brought around some mint chocolates for the customers waiting outside.We ordered regular fish and chips and you get a lot! There is a pretty garden next to the chip shop with benches and places to perch and eat your meal.I definitely recommend it.Parking: Parking on the opposite side of the road with approx 8 spaces.

Blimey, what a find… A quick google search of fish and chips near Foolow resulted in us finding the Toll Bar fish & chips shop. Two of us had mini fish & chips (still a very good sized portion) with curry sauce and it was lush. The staff were really friendly and happy and couldn’t have been more helpful. Special shout out to Melissa! There’s a lovely little brook next to the shop to sit and eat too so everything is freshly cooked and piping hot.
