Beautiful pub after undergoing extensive refurbishment, in the heart of the Peak District. Family friendly environment with live sports and open fire. Busy with locals, family’s, walkers and doggo’s. Have visited before but this was our first time dining. Family of seven from 81 down to 9, everyone was made welcome and disabled access was good. Today was Sunday with a choice of roast meats. Eyre Arms has recently been taken over by a local - it’s now a lot cleaner and beer is good. Went for a quick lunch but we were disappointed. My wife’s starter was supposed to have ‘crusty bread’ and butter but came with just one slice of cheap white bread that was almost burnt and no butter with it. I had a ‘Calver burger’ which should have come with ‘skin on fries’, but came with ordinary fries - to be fair though the fries were ok - but still not as advertised….....read full review

Great atmosphere and choice on the menu. Plus side for my husband it has sports on (which i don't mind). My husband had a meal from the Festive Menu, he had the 2 course option. It was great value for money and you didn't need to pre-book or pre-order from this menu like a lot of venues. I had the Calver Classic Burger from the normal menu which was tasty too.
