What a spot to sit and have a cuppa and some cake, the beautiful canal and historic buildings all around you with a spacious car park to the side.Parking: A large car park, the only issue was it was cash only and £7 for 4 hours. It’s council so unfortunately the money doesn’t go to the canalWheelchair accessibility: Seems easy to access with a slope from the car park and a wide doorway, as far as I know there isn’t a disabled toilet though

It was ok. We came for lunch. Tables hadn’t been wiped clean. The food portions were generous. My flatbread with sausage, onion and cheese wasn’t very nice, as it was mainly bread and onion and soggy in the middle. The canal setting is always nice.

We didn't have food this time, because for a bitter cold Monday it was very busy and the staff were a little rushed, but the food that drifted past looked fab. The coffee was good and it is a lovely spot at the Cromford end of the canal.You just have be brave enough to ask people to move their rucksacks, coats etc. so you can sit and share a table, not the cafés fault, obviously.
