“An amazing village pub full of character and history. The landlord is super friendly and happy to tell all about the pub and the village. The pub has a connection to the phrase "worth its weight in gold" due to the racehorse it's named after. One of only 3 pubs with that name in the UK and very much a key part of the village. Food was on offer, looked good but expect simple pub food not gourmet meals and that's not what this pub is about.If you are up in the peaks visiting the dancing ladies and other great historic monuments, be sure to stop here for a well-earned rest and enjoy the atmosphere.”
