“Definitely one of my favourite pubs I’ve ever been to. It just does traditional country, Peak District pub VERY well. Great local ales, good value, beautiful surroundings, and super cosy interior. What more can you ask for? Unfortunately, didn’t get to eat as the kitchen has closed, but look forward to going back to try the food. The perfect respite after a strenuous day walking or climbing.”

“HIGHLY recommended is all I could say but if you wanted more:
Lovely little shop. We bought our lunch sandwiches every morning from here on our holiday. Great options which are so tasty and customisable too with a choice of bread. Salad (recommend) is available at a small extra cost, but overall the food on offer is a great standard. The counter food looked good too, though we didn’t try. Service was friendly and quick while still providing excellent food quality. Once more, HIGHLY recommend”
