“What a cracking pub. Beautiful heritage pub. No lager, no frills, no fancy cocktails. The mistakes so many pubs often make are not made here thankfully. Charming, old, proper. Only regret is that I don't live next door to it. I'd practically live there otherwise.”

“A lovely pub to stop after a walk in the peaks.The food was lovely and the staff were nice. We spent just over 60 quid for 2 mains, deserts, coffee and beers.We had the sausage and mash which was lovely and the veggie Sunday roast. We would definitely recommend both again.For dessert the poached pear was our favourite and the lemon tart came in a close second.The only minor comment is the beer came with a huge head but no big deal!I would definitely come back again.It's also dog friendly.Vegetarian options: Good selection of veggie options, including a nice Sunday roast option.”
