If you are wanting a fancy pub with pink walls and purple furniture that serve rare breed, grass fed burgers served in a brioche bun topped with artisan cheese alongside hand cut, skin on, triple cooked chips all served on a roof slate you probably won’t like this place! Had a lovely lunch here mid walk, a lovely traditional pub with a good selection of beers. Food menu was also good including classic pub food like gammon and curries, but also healthier or more lunchlike options.

Having read the previous reviews I think they are quite unfair so wanted to give a positive spin on this pub. This is an'old fashioned' ' no frills pub. The beer is good, the food we had was lovely and all incredibly good value and a great atmosphere, we visited on a Tuesday lunchtime. Don't expect the staff to fawn all over you but expect efficient, friendly, down to earth service. I would definitely recommend.
