Lovely old pub with a beautiful view. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Toilet was very clean too which is always a bonus!! Well done, you are a dying breed, unfortunately!

Half way point of our journey. Very nice little pub. Food was excellent. Lovely staff. I need to remember this place when I next head west for a break!

A lovely thatched village pub just off the A35 main road west of Axminster. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The food was very good and excellent value. There was a good selection of drinks on offer and three beers on tap from the local Palmers Brewery. These were well kept. The clientele seemed to be mostly local and the pub had a pleasant buzz of an atmosphere. The background music was not intrusive. Dog friendly. The pub has a car park . This is not large but there was plenty of on street parking nearby. The premises appeared to be wheelchair accessible. A great find and definitely a pub to which we shall be returning.

We have visited a few times over the summer including some evening drinks in the pretty beer garden with super countryside views as well an evening meal and a Sunday lunch. The evening meal provided a good choice of hearty pub food. We particularly enjoyed the pie which had been cooked as one large one in a tray and cut up. So tasty! The Sunday lunch was a choice of two roasted meats (as well as a veggie option) which came with proper stuffing, a great choice of vegetables and some good roasties. There were also a couple of other main options other than the roasts. We were so full we couldn't take advantage of one of the deserts which looked good on other tables. Would recommend for a good priced, hearty, home cooked meal with a range of meal choices. Thank you

Spent a few days staying in Kilmington and had a few evening walks up to the New Inn for a drink or two. Friendly service, nice garden. Would definitely visit again.

0nce upon a time I vowed never to set foot in this place again. But NOW, the new Lord has resurrected this pubs reputation for good beer, good food and great service. I've been very impressed with the standard of cooking, I really enjoyed their good old fashioned Sunday roasting I've already made an advanced booking for another one

Camping in Dorset and ended up coming to the New Inn twice during our stay. Lovely thatched pub in Kilmington off the main road, so you need to look for it. Good food, good beer, friendly staff. Thanks to Spike and the team for their hospitality.

Found this pub on our way on our way home, was immediately greeted and told to find a table and our food and drinks order would be taken. Extensive menu with something for everyone, including offering smaller portions if required and a specials board. Service was great and when food arrived it was excellent quality, good portions and not overpriced. We were asked twice (I think by the owners) if everything was okay. Will certainly visit again when in the area.

A great evening all round. Could not fault anything. The welcome set the scene for a great experience. Food was wonderful, good quality, home cooked. The beer and cider was delicious. We will be back and would recommend a visit if in the area. Thank you.

Friendly and welcoming, very spacious and good selection of drinks. The food was really reasonably priced - and it could be that we chose wrong but it was fair food at a good price rather than a taste sensation. Don't wish to do it a disservice and everything was fine - and for the price you can't argue! A car park, large garden and a great atmosphere.

Friendly, welcoming and clean pub with a cosy atmosphere. Basic food at a reasonable price. If you drink wine, I recommend the house red. Better than average.

Could not be more accommodating, friendly and helpful. Food v decent pub grub at reasonable prices. Clean, spacious loos, good beers and range of gins etc and the house red was excellent.Off the beaten track but not by far, it's got a car park, nice Gardens and fast service.A proper nice pub experience.Vegetarian options: A few dishes for the veggies.Parking: Maybe 10 cars on site parking but residential roads around too.
