A lovely thatched village pub just off the A35 main road west of Axminster. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The food was very good and excellent value. There was a good selection of drinks on offer and three beers on tap from the local Palmers Brewery. These were well kept. We have visited a few times over the summer including some evening drinks in the pretty beer garden with super countryside views as well an evening meal and a Sunday lunch. The evening meal provided a good choice of hearty pub food. We particularly enjoyed the pie which had been cooked as one large one in a tray and cut up. So tasty! Lovely old pub with a beautiful view. Food was very tasty and reasonably priced. Toilet was very clean too which is always a bonus!! Well done, you are a dying breed, unfortunately!
