“A really lovely little pub! The food is excellent - generous portion sizes and everything cooked perfectly, with plenty of gluten free options. The staff were very attentive and we were made to feel very welcome. We will definitely be back soon.”

“We popped in here on the off chance whilst on holiday, and wow, we’re so glad we did! The Friday Breakfast Club at the Castle Pub is one of those hidden gems that you wish was right around the corner from your home. If only we lived nearer! The full English breakfast was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and incredibly satisfying. Paired with a great cup of coffee, it was the ideal start to our morning.
It’s clear that this place is a local hub, with a steady stream of regulars who clearly feel right at home. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff make you feel like you’ve been a part of the community forever. It’s the kind of spot you can’t help but fall in love with. Highly recommend it, especially if you find yourself in the area.”

“Superb food and lovely hosts. We found this by chance whilst on holiday. I would recommend anyone in this neck of the woods to go and visit. Well worth the drive. Their knowledge of gluten free (and the fact almost anything could be done gluten free) was also fantastic. 10/10!”

“Absolutely amazing cafe! Three out of four of us are gluten and dairy free, and Charlie’s cafe had so many incredible options! Every cake and treat we tried was delicious, with special highlights being the jam doughnut and the carrot cake – but we tried so many!
The gentleman serving us was super friendly and incredibly helpful, taking the time to show us which cakes were also safe for my sister who can’t have nuts. The entire place is fully gluten free and vegan, which made the whole experience stress-free and so enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu!!”

“As soon as we walked in we were greeted by a welcoming warm fire and comfortable armchairs which was a good start, but it got even better from there! Genuinely friendly staff and incredibly hard working owners serving superb food and drinks. We were so impressed by our first impromptu visit we booked to bring a party of friends down the following week and we all enjoyed a wonderful evening, great food in a great traditional pub setting with wonderfully friendly atmosphere. Now one of our firm favourites which we will be using for our own pleasure as well as recommending to our own holiday cottages guests.”

“Firstly, the food here is AMAZING. The burger is easily the best burger in the southwest (not joking) and the chips are definitely pushing being the best. The food here also doesn't taste fatty like takeaways. It tastes amazing while also feeling like a healthier option. Then, the prices here are really good for a pub. Secondly, The vibe here is perfect. Its quite, but not too quite. You can easily talk without feeling like the elephant in the room while also not being surrounded by noise. It also has a bunch of games like pool, mega jenga and darts. This is place is seriously amazing. You NEED to come here.”
