We were really looking forward to the meal but it was very disappointing. I had the turkey, meat was OK, but the whole plate was swimming in beef gravy. The roast potato was soggy due to the gravy. The veg was OK, but again, nothing special. Others had beef, some the beef was melt in the mouth but others in our group said it was tough. £20 for a roast dinner was high for a basic meal like this.

I was taken for an early mothers Day meal. The staff were lovely and attentive. The food was good. The wine a bit expensive!! Overall a good time.Kid-friendliness: The staff were lovely to my granddaughter and her meal was good.

Lovely warm and welcoming. Good range of Beers and wines. The Exmoor Gold Ale was to die for. The food and service was first class too and all in all an excellent experience. I highly recommend The Pyne Arms to anyone seeking the above : )

First visit and it won't be the last! We had the set Christmas menu, it was amazing, the soufflé to start was perfect, the turkey was lovely and the veg perfectly cooked. The best Christmas pudding I have had in a long time. Staff lovely and very efficient, the place was full, but we were never kept waiting. Great place, and very prettily decorated for Christmas.

We came at just after 420pm for a quick drink. We're told they were closed (many people still inside and advertised closing 5pm). So we were turned away with our two children. First and last visit! Seems very silly to turn away paying customers...

First time here having wanted to come for some time. The food was absolutely amazing and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. I can’t fault this place and can’t wait to go back.

Yet another fantastic dining experience at the Pyne Arms. My sister was visiting so where better to go. The starters (crispy chilli beef and tempura coconut prawns were amazing. Two of us had the curry for mains and one had the Devon hommity pie. She had never hd this before but said it was delicious. Deserts were a variety of chocolate delights and tasty cheeses. As always, the food was perfect. It’s such a relief to know that when you go the Pyne Arms, you’ll never be disappointed, or that they’ll have an off day. Always amazing.

What a little gem! Visited here for Saturday evening dinner with friends and had the most gorgeous food, served by the friendliest, loveliest staff. Really interesting menu and all our food perfectly cooked and beautifullly presented. Nothing was too much trouble Only wished we lived nearer so could go more often. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Had such a lovely meal here and we will definitely be back. I can't believe we didn't know about this place beforehand, as we're only local. 10/10.

Visited with my family for dinner in October 2023. Great menu - made it difficult to choose what to eat! Lovely food, friendly staff and nice place. Easily the best place we ate during our week in Devon. Loved it.

We had our wedding reception at the Pyne Arms at the start of the month and it was just perfect. Everything had been planned so well and decorated so beautifully. It was full of fairy lights and bunting which made it look so cosy. The tables were laid exactly the way we wanted and everything just seemed to be in the right place! The service was spot on, so friendly and so attentive. The food was just delicious, the meat for our roast was just mouth watering and all of our guests enjoyed the food. One quoting it was the best food he has ever had at a wedding- and he’s been to A LOT of weddings. We also got to stay the night of our special day which made everything so much more relaxed and the room was even decorated just for us! It was all topped off in the morning with a well needed full English breakfast. Just perfect. We would more than recommend the Pyne Arms for food, B&B and of course your wedding reception! Thank you Amie & all the staff for going above & beyond.

Lovely staff. Great menu and second time we have visited this week. Very accommodating when I asked for two starters, rather than one main. Restricted diet !!!. No problem at all. Food was just great. Will be back next year xxx strongly recommended. Xxxx
