Dropped in with our dog for a weekday lunch, immediately felt at ease. Tasty food, generous portions and a great pint. The service was excellent, they went out of their way to help with my lost purse! Look forward to eating here the next time we're in Croyde ?

Came here today for a birthday meal. Had buffalo chicken burger and chilli dog both with fries. Sounds quite average but honestly it was out of this world delicious. Service was really quick and staff were friendly and helpful. We had our dog with us and they gave him a huge bowl of water too. Wine and cider delicious too! Will be back again soon!

Spent a few nights in here eating and drinking, really nice laid back vibe with sports on tv. The food is mostly pizza, burgers and dogs, we sampled a fair bit of the menu and can’t fault it.

Nice pub. Good food. Okay prices for down south. Nachos are yummy

Great little dog and child friendly pub. Super friendly staff. The perfect place to shelter from the Devon rain and enjoy lunch and a few games of cards. We’ve been back twice and will return again soon.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of choice on the children’s menu and staff all really accommodating x

The less glamorous cousin to The Thatch next door, this place offers reasonable food at reasonable prices for a younger crowd. Staff are young and helpful and the food is…fine. Large portions but certainly not a special event kind of place. Just what you need after a hard day in the sea. Nachos are enormous as are the burgers. Terrace has a buzz in warm weather. Recommended if you want a few pints and a simple plate of food. Only gripe is £6 for a bowl of chips which is enormous. Do a half portion for goodness sake!

Straightforward pub serving good food and drinks. Friendly staff and decent value. One of the few pubs where you don't need to book so adds to the flexibility.

Prices are around 15-20 for mains, portions are large and food is incredibly tasty. There's lots of outdoor seating in a nice beer garden and pool table inside.Friendly staff and good service. Thanks!Vegetarian options: I had the vegetarian chilli in nachos and it was tasty with chunks of veg with beans ? heads up though, it has mushrooms!

Great pub with takeaway facilities. We had four rounds of nachos to take out. They were delicious and substantial. Well worth an order and a pint while you wait is great

Staff were super nice especially the guy from Manchester! Great selection of drinks and nice to have local spirits. Pulled pork natchos are a must and the rest of the food was great. Lovely atmosphere and place to spend the day / night.

After a great day surfing at Croyde bay, the group decided to visit Billy Budds for tea. This pub restaurant is sat right on the village main road and is surrounded by surf shops, gift shops, and other food outlets.Billy Budds also shares a garden terrace with another restaurant. We visited on a Saturday afternoon on a peak surfing day and we found space to sit easily. Being served at the bar took moments, and food ordering was simple too.We didn't wait long for food to arrive either, which again was quite impressive considering how busy they were. The food was very tasty and a healthy size portion was served up.We sat outside on the terrace, but inside was actually roomy and full of nooks. There was also a pool table and multiple TVs to watch sport on.Pretty laid back atmosphere here and dog friendly. There is also enough room for wheelchair users and disabled toilets are available, as is a baby changing area. All in all, a pleasurable experience. Staff were helpful, polite and efficient.Vegetarian options: There are a few but not manyKid-friendliness: Definitely child friendly and family orientatedParking: A small payed car park is close by but fills very quickly. Street parking is rareWheelchair accessibility: Plenty of access and roomDietary restrictions: Allergies were enquired about and it clearly states on the menu about dietary restrictions or Allergies

Had lunch at Billy Buds on our first day in Croyde. Loads of space. Reasonable priced. The menu is more American style than typical British Pub food. There was not lunch time portions or lunch time options. The portion sizes are huge and for small eaters consider to share. The food was lovely and tasty. And as I said portions were huge. Especially the Billy Dog. So good for the teenagers!

Decent food that's not too expensive, drinks are a little on the pricey side but over all really good

Had one of the best pizzas ever recently at Budds. Ndjua sausage and pil pil prawn washed down with cold rattler on a hot day. Doesn’t get better in Croyde.
