£5.20 for a takeaway pasty. Most expensive one I've had.Parking: Overpriced parking too

BEST SAUSAGE ROLLS EVER HAD I wish I could have the name of the supplier so that I could order many for myself

Stopped for a coffee and snacks after time on the beach. Ordered outside and went into the seated hut area. Service was ok but it was NYE.

Great to have a coffee in an enamel mug. Friendly staff, good food, good prices, good egg bap. ???

Nice coffee and pasties. Ideal after a dog walk or surf.Return visit after nine years, still had a nice friendly vibe, of staff and customers. It as a good place to go.

Lovely pasties! Really scrummy. They did traditional steak (gorgeous) chicken and chorizo and cheese and onion. All of which were really delicious. The breakfast baps weren't so great though. Very dry.

Lovely location right next to the beach. Tasty coffees and decent food. However their attitude towards their customers is very poor. They offer coffee in proper metallic mugs which I ordered. Also cheesy chips which I ordered. Neither appeared , coffee was in paper cup and no cheese on chips. When challenged it was my fault it seems for not checking the bill. Not their error but mine for not double checking. Maybe if they trained the staff to use the till correctly, oh no who could they blame then?

How can it be that a food and beverage cafe, the only one I might add, based right on the pathway off the main car park towards the sea front, DOES NOT SELL ANY BATTERED FISH? Not even batterless fish. I’ve visited twice in the last 8 months and each time, disappointed. I can review the sausage and chips I had: Not your traditional chip shop chips. I would guess supermarket frozen chips Sausages were okay. Couldn’t even batter those, mind! When I made the statement to the girl serving me about why they don’t sell cod, hoping for a logical reason such as ‘it’s too costly’ or ‘it’s not a popular choice’ (extremely unlikely), she replies ‘because it’s not on the menu’. Appreciate it isn’t probably her business but come on! Thanks! Very informative.

Lovely hot drinks, snacks and pastries enjoyed yesterday 29th Dec - unfortunately one of our party lost her green ring (21st present) around the outside bench eating area. If found please contact me - Ro Clewes 07855 652194. Reward

Edit: I received really good customer service following this rating and invited to try pasties again. They were light and day better than the ones mentioned below. I accept that it must have been an error where the warmer was turned up too much. Only downfall now is my wife wants me to pick a cheese and onion one every time I come for a surf. After a great surf today we decided to stay on the beach for a cappuccino and pasty for lunch. When I picked the pasties up they were too hot to handle so had to hold the bag. This was the first indication of what was to come. The base was burnt black, the inside was dried out and bitter. Very disappointing!!! Never again will I buy one of your pasties!!! Will continue taking my custom to Quay Cafe or Wild Thyme in Braunton for our post surf feast.

No issues with food, but a staff member when asked for a cup of hot water to heat up some food for a baby she said (slightly laughing in a apologetic tone - sorry..."I've got to charge for this") - charging me £1.00 for hot water for a BABY!!!! I've stopped in numerous places and NEVER been asked this. I begrudging paid it. But hugely disappointed and the manner in which it happened... laughing is unforgivable.

Nice food and drink, friendly faces. Unfortunately signs that ask people to wait until food has been placed down and pick up once colleague has stepped away is pretty awful. You either want customers or you dont. We are trying to move in a positive direction but it seems some places in Devon are not. At the moment there are no laws in place to justify any of your restrictions. It's a sorry state we are in and at some point people who love coming here will just go straight back abroad when restrictions are once over.

We enjoyed a lovely day on the beach and got a takeaway. This cafe serves the best pasties. One of the best pasties I ever had! Nice coffee too. Very handy as situated just off the beach. Nice staff doing a great job in what is a very busy season! Go sit on this beautiful beach with one of their pasties. You won’t be sorry!

Had the fish finger baps - huge with 3 big fingers inside - delicious! Big queue but moves swiftly. Young girls on tills doing a fabulous job, providing customer service with a smile despite the constant stream of customers. Ice creams were yummy.
