A fun few hours in the Old Court House with Landlord Sam presiding. Old school publican hospitality at the front of house. Never a dull moment ?

We visited this pub whilst staying in the village of chulmleigh. We were made very welcome by Sam & mrs Paddy, we had a meal there on one of the nights, which was delicious, I had the home made Steak & Stilton pie, which was the best I have ever tasted, my husband had half roast chicken which was also delicious. We also joined in the quiz night which was fun, Sam is very entertaining. Thankyou for making us feel so welcome, David and Janet

A lovely local pub with a very genial host who made us very welcome on a quiet Saturday lunchtime. The food is all home cooked and very high quality. The Steak and Kidney Pie was probably the best we've had anywhere. We even got a tour of the old court house itself. Highly recommended if you are in the area.

Absolutely great pub, food home cooked and excellent, the landlord and his staff Ellie brilliant, great banter and conversation, I will be definitely going back, well done Sam for a pub that harks back to how things used to be, all the best from Lynne Fox

A warm welcome from the owners, good beer, a tour to see the historic plaster freize upstairs.... fascinating: wish that we had stayed for food, which smelled so good!

We came here for a drink and dinner with our dog one evening, as were spending a few days locally. The food was just what we wanted, drinks excellent, and an open fire welcomed us in from the rain. Thank you

A lovely local Olde Inn. We met the landlord and lady (who used to live where we're from) and found the patrons to be very friendly and welcoming. The food was very homely, and the ale was lovely.I really enjoyed watching a game of traditional 9-pin skittles, and was honoured to be shown the Royal coat of arms from 1633.I look forward to the chance to return.

Absolutely amazing food, although at first I thought it over priced, until our meals were brought out. Lovely size portions, nice staff. Decor dated and dog hairs on the benches but overall a pleasant experience x
