“This is our local, a very traditional Devon pub and has excellent food and well kept ales. Service and atmosphere are brilliant too. All in all it’s a real gem of a country pub!”

“What a lovely place to stop for a Sunday breakfast. When you ask for Earl Grey and find 2 tea bags in your pot, (not the usual one bag, which often produces a weak/flavourless drink), it's clear that this is a cafe that really cares about the food it serves. We loved the biscoff blondie too. The breakfast baps with sausages and bacon were delicious. Couldn't fault anything and hope to detour soon from the M5 for our next breakfast. Thank you.”

“We drove into the car park and it was full so wasn’t hopeful for a table for four. Got to the bar and was met by a friendly smile (Sophie). I asked if there was a table and luckily even though it was busy there was a table. The menu was a good range of basic pub grub menu, which is better than having far too many choices. We had driven from Northamptonshire so weary travelers and were very hungry. When the food had arrived the portion sizes were enormous so well worth the money. Our eyes were differently bigger than our bellies and we, with annoyance had to cancel our desserts. :(”

“Like the way carvery is served, don't have to queue up, meat, potatoes and Yorkshire pudding served on your plate and an ample supply of a variety of vegetables served for your party.”

Plenty of parking, plenty of places in the restaurant itself.
Met up with friends.
Staff are friendly and have a sense of humour ?.
Food is good quality, tastes great, good range of hot and cold food . Range of desserts. Very reasonable pricing.
We had a brunch and it was freshly cooked, hot. Good flavour. Good sized plates for the meal. Swift service.
Restaurant is cash or card for payment.
Car park is huge.
There is a petrol station next to the restaurant which makes it convenient for buying fuel or food at the shop also.
