My husband and I spent our 39th wedding anniversary at Kawana Hall and it didn’t disappoint. Tony and Gordon are great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The suites are spacious and light, beautifully decorated and the bed and bedding of the highest quality - ensuring a perfect night’s sleep. What made the stay so memorable was all the little extras - jars of jelly beans, cookies, handmade fudge, enormous choice of beverages, lovely toiletries, glossy magazines, books - I could go on and on. The pool area surrounded by stunning planting and woodland creates a peaceful spot to relax in the sun, take a dip or indulge in a slice of Gordon’s homemade cake of the day with a pot a tea. Oh! And the breakfast was superb. Credit to both Gordon and Tony on making this such a special place. We will definitely be returning. Alison and Michael

A truly wonderful place to stay! We were in the Roundhouse which was lovely with the added bonus of a rooftop area to relax and watch birds and be ‘amongst the trees’. The hosts, Gordon and Tony, are warm, friendly and make a fabulous breakfast. They clearly care about making their guests’ stay as comfortable and relaxed as possible. We made use of the swimming pool to wake us up before breakfast! This is one of the very best guest houses we have ever stayed in and will certainly be back.

When we were invited to a wedding in Dartmouth and Kingswear we immediately booked Kaywana Hall as it both looked spectacular and was highly recommended. We were not disappointed. Our hosts Gordon and Tony met us as we pulled up to park and were extremely charming even helping us with our limited luggage into our room, the Roundhouse which has its own private roof terrace. The design of the house, the guest rooms and the pool deck is superb and of the highest quality. Breakfast was excellent each day and lifts down the hill to the ferry are available which we took advantage of as we headed to Dartmouth for the wedding. If you are visiting Kingswear then Kaywana Hall should top your list of accommodation.

Everything is fabulous! First class service from reservation to checking out. Friendliest and most helpful hosts. Delicious breakfast and top-notch ingredients, afternoon snacks, homemade biscuits and fudge. Stunning architecture and luxurious spacious rooms and bathrooms. We didn’t use the pool but it looks fantastic. Excellent and beautiful location with easy access to all the best sights and restaurants in South Devon. We will definitely be booking the Kaywana Hall again!

Tony and Gordon made me feel really welcome as a single guest. My room (Oak) was well equipped and exceptionally clean. The turndown service was a treat. Excellent breakfast choices for my gluten free diet. Having the pool was a real treat (I wish I'd got in there sooner!) Kaywana's location is great for walks on the beautiful coastal path or Dart valley walks, and Dartmouth is only a short walk and an even shorter ferry crossing away. I didn't drive anywhere during my stay! Recommend The Ship Inn in Kingswear for pub meal.

My high expectations were exceeded, Kaywana Hall is an idyllic retreat. The setting is beautiful, peaceful & calm; the accommodation is first class with excellent attention to detail & the service is unbeatable. Tony & Gordon provide just the right touch-attentive but relaxed. With delicious homemade treats & breakfasts, fresh milk & water in the rooms every day & lovely full sized Bramley toiletries - all lovely extra touches that add to feeling pampered. Tony & Gordon are true masters at providing the perfect level of service, every detail carefully thought through. Kaywana Hall is a magical gem to discover, I was very sad to leave & a wonderful treat to look forward to in the future.

I have been coming here for a number of years and it never disappoints. A beautiful, tranquil part of Devon with easy access to Dartmouth, hiking trails and much more. Kaywana Hall is the perfect place to stay. Absolutely lovely. Beautifully appointed. Friendly and accommodating hosts. Plug in your electric car, savor the homemade biscuits and clotted cream fudge. And the gourmet breakfasts.

We have just returned from a three night stay at Kaywana Hall, our 4th in 9 years. Everything was as we remembered it, and more - the stunning architecture, the beautiful setting, the absolute peace and tranquility and the warmth and outstanding service provided by Tony and Gordon, ably supported by Lisa. The addition of the beautiful breakfast room at the end of the pool since our last visit has improved what was already a superb guest experience. As I mentioned in my last review in 2018 there are not enough superlatives to describe this extremely special place. We felt truly looked after, completely relaxed and very blessed to have had the opportunity to experience the magic yet again. Thank you so much Tony, Gordon and Lisa for a truly wonderful holiday!

We stayed at Kaywana Hall as part of a special anniversary trip. We had the most amazing time. Kaywana is a beautiful place - Tony & Gordon have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. Lots of lovely little touches which made all the difference. Gordon & Tony were very welcoming, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in the Roundhouse which is a super room. The pool house is a fabulous addition and the pool and poolside very tranquil. We would highly recommend staying here - 5 stars and we will definitely return.

Fantastic! An amazingly-restored 1960's Devon Butterfly-roofed house. Hosts Tony and Gordon were consummate, breakfasts were delicious, rooms were roomy and fantastically well-stocked and comfortable; fluffiest pillows ever!

What's not to love about Kaywana Hall? It's a stunning property in a magnificent location. My bedroom, The Roundhouse, was (in a word) spectacular. Super comfy bed, stunning bathroom with the best bathtub ever and beautifully furnished to boot. Hosts Tony and Gordon are a delight too. Easy to talk to and they know exactly what a guest staying with them wants and needs. There's a gorgeous swimming pool too although, unfortunately, it was not yet open for the season when I was there. Simply a sublime experience from start to finish and one I hope to repeat many times in the future. Do yourself (and a loved one) a favour and treat yourselves to a lazy, weekend stay at Kaywana Hall. I promise you that you won't regret it!

What a haven this is ! Spectacular accommodation nestled amongst tranquil surroundings. Fabulous attention to detail throughout from the homemade biscuits & fresh flowers in our room, sumptuous bed & pillows & gorgeous bathroom products . Our hosts Tony & Gordon could not be more welcoming, making us feel instantly at home. The breakfast @ Kaywana is superb, with daily specials cooked by Tony and the wonderful homemade granola & jams courtesy of Gordon….simply delightful ! What an absolute treat it was to stay at Kaywana, we left feeling fully rested and thoroughly spoilt & promising to return. We could not recommend this gem highly enough.
