We came here on NYE for lunch with friends visiting from Canada. I can't fault it from super friendly staff to delicious and fresh food. I had the Seafood Gratin with Unlimited Chips and my wife the Rockfish Fillet in Batter with Mushy Peas and Unlimited Chips also. If you can get a window seat then do because this restaurant is right in the heart of the harbour. Ten out of ten guys.

Walked in on NYE looking for a table for 7 of us. Most places in Dartmouth had stopped serving food so I politely said ’Hello, are you still serving food?’ The girl I was met with sarcastically said ‚well we do serve food, yes’ I laughed it off and continued saying there was 7 of us etc but noticed at the far end of the restaurant two young people, a brunette boy and a blonde girl, looking at me and laughing, turning and whispering and laughing again. We all went elsewhere. Won’t be returning.

Brilliant staff, lovely setting, and tasty lunch. We live in Devon and visit Rockfish for the occasional treat. We had fish and chips and tacos. The fish and chips were (as always) wonderful. Crispy batter, meaty fish and wondeful home made chips. The optional curry sauce was also excellent. The tasty tacos were filled with chunky fish and a wonderful salsa with tomatoes. The staff also gave us a free portion of chips with the tacos as they knew we were hungry! Excellent lunch. Can thoroughly recommend a visit.

Lovely atmosphere and service. We were expertly taken through the specials. Excellent smoked haddock - if a little too salty. Trout was lovely. Good value for Dartmouth and was very popular so need to book at weekends certainly.
Really excellent supper. The fish is amazing and the menu is so good. We actually went two nights running! The staff and friendly and helpful, and make you feel welcome. Definitely recommend. The website didn’t grab me so I did have average expectations….. but the visit far exceeded this, and this is clearly a well loved local restaurant that also welcomes visitors like us.

Great fish, great service, great wines. Had a lovely meal in this lively restaurant. Buzzy atmosphere, friendly service. The reason I'm marking it down is because of their dog policy. They allow dogs into the restaurant at all times and we had to sit next to a stinky, slobbery specimen that kept wandering over to our table and shedding its fur all over my trousers. It smelt so bad that it was making me gag. There were no other seats for us to move to but I feel that the dog should have moved, not us! . Husband is allergic and it's a bit of a joke that they ask if there are any allergies, well yes to the dogs but not your food. A member of staff stroked the dog and then served food ? I mentioned this to the restaurant as part of their review process and was told that they wouldn't be reviewing their dog policy soon. I suppose there are lots of doggy people that they want as customers and never mind if others suffer as a consequence. I am an animal lover, keep pets and volunteer for a wildlife charity. But I don't want to share a space with dogs whilst I'm trying to enjoy good food and wine.

Sunday lunch, terrific service, great choice of fish dishes, several catches of the day, zesty and tasty accompanying sides and the best curry sauce all of us had ever tasted, utterly brilliant. It’s just a great fish restaurant and the ingredients do the talking. Would very much recommend.
