Popped in for Sunday lunchtime drink! A real pub joyfully decorated in Dartmouth fashion! The service at the bar was quick, friendly and very pleasant and the drinks very quaffable??!! As we left the bar person wished us a lovely "goodbye see you again!" This was a much appreciated touch of old school hospitality that is mostly missing these days...left a smile on my face as we left..we will return???

What a fantastic pub!!!!!! My wife and I found this by accident and rediscovered it on purpose. Arrived when the rugby was on TV, great atmosphere and lovely staff and customers. The seating outside on a summer's eve was perfect and the atmosphere throughout was warm, relaxed and friendly.Returned late afternoon midweek to find chilled tunes, different (but still lovely) staff and quality beer. This is not to be missed, don't chance your arm elsewhere this place has character, warmth and quality beer. Many thanks for your kind hospitality ??.We will be back next year.

After years of drinking in this venue I already know it’s the best pub in the town, Jon excelled himself tonight with an incredible band! Absolute pleasure to be there to hear them!?

Awful, certainly not a family pub. No tables inside, were outside and then it poured down. The choice of music was weird to say the least, to listen to some weird song about a woman who had been cheated on, but words were vile, certainly not what we wanted to hear. Im sorry but who would play that. Such graphic words, cxxt was one. It was awful.

Absolutely crammed with nooks and passages and character and vibes, felt like a really cool Camden pub.We accidentally wandered in looking for a toilet but stayed for a drink and I'd have stayed much longer if we could. A tiny stage in the corner of the downstairs bar made me wish we were there for a night of live music, it must be a riot. The bar staff were every bit as character filled and vibey as the venue.I honestly loved the place!

Popped in here, primarily to get out of the persistent rain, but also due to my wife claiming she’d visited this pub years ago! I’m glad she did, Such a nice surprise! A true old fashioned traditional pub, the like of which is rare these days! Landlord friendly personable and happy to answer our questions re the numerous flags which were everywhere and colourful. Beer was good, wine good and prices reasonable. Atmosphere terrific, helped by a quite amazing French Radio channel, Bordeaux I was told, blurting out some great nostalgic tunes. If ever you’re in Dartmouth, try this out, you’ll love it!

Rough and ready but in a good way. Lots of nautical brick a brack on the walls and ceiling. Nice pint of St Austel Tribute.

Good old fashioned pub. Well cared-for pint. Enjoyed the old-skool reggae that was playing when we visited. Treasure this place, they are becoming thin on the ground.

Yeah man proper pub playing some chilled out tunes, the beer is good and it’s not crazy expensive. Could spend the rest of the day here but for parking restrictions…

A lovely unspoilt traditional English pub. No fancy frills just a good atmosphere and very good beer and some head banging scrumpy. Anyone visiting Dartmouth to get off the tourist trail and seek out this oasis of old england

Great pub, always full during the Dart Festival weekend, when it has a good variety of cover singers.
