Pubs • “Really lovely and friendly pub. Food has been great apart from one meal and that was the tikka masala which was tasteless but that was on another visit and didn't stop us coming back. Bar staff and locals so friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit.Quite an extensive good menu and you can get 2 for 1 for up to 4 people with tastecard app (free trial) we had 3 ploughman's (1 cheese, 1 brie & 1 crab) and scampi. Prices range from £11 upwards for main meals. Also pub is dog friendly which is another plus.”

Pubs • “Went here twice during our stay in dawlish, I was a bit apprehensive as there have been quite a few bad reviews. It just goes to show don't believe everything you read, food was of good quality both visits, staff were very helpful and the value of the food for what you pay is unrivalled in the area (other two pubs very pricey and the food is grim). I would recommend.”

“We had walked around the great coastal walk to this pub at the top of the hill, looking forward to food and drink when we got there. We arrived a little early before opening time at 6pm but a lovely lady, now know her name is Norma, let us 10 mins before and even allowed us a drink and to browse the menu before opening time. What a lovely welcome.The food was lovely and good choice of drinks and beers, a cosy atmosphere thoroughly recommend this pubVegetarian options: No special board options but couple on the menu and the pasta was very good”
