16 of us went for Christmas dinner, really couldn't fault it, the food was fantastic and the service was brilliant, most of us had the set 3 course Christmas meal but we also had some children's meals and an adult meal. All mains were served at the same time which was a task in its self as the pub was very busy with lots of Christmas parties in . Great pub with plenty of space for large groups. We had Sunday lunch with 10 of us. The service was friendly and efficient. The food plentiful and tasty. The garden burger (vegetarian) was different from the usual with lots of different vegetables used. We had huge helpings of beef in the Sunday roast which satisfied the huge appetites of our teenage grandsons! Relaxed atmosphere where we could eat and chat in comfort.

We've been there a couple of times and the food has been really good... We go to really good, ( pricey ), good and awful eateries ( awful by accident) but today I had the steak & ale pie and I can honestly say the pastry on that pie was was fantastic. Great proper British fare with great views and smashing beer. ... Go there, you know it makes sense ?
