Good service. My daughter and l were in there on a Sunday. Had their roast which was very good. Didn't book. But there were a couple of free tables. And the girls serving were very welcoming

AVOID Dirty pub, women’s toilet sink had do not use tape over it, so no way to wash your hands, no sanitiser as back up. Makes you wonder how the female staff go to the loo and then serve customers without washing their hands. Mentioned to staff who weren’t interested, and only reponse we got was no one else has mentioned anything. The young lad behind the bar looked stoned out his head. The short girl who is a staff member with glasses quite young walking around swearing in front of customers. Tables were sticky. The meals being bought out looked vile. Glad we never ate there as I’d of asked for a full refund. My friends had been to this pubs a few times a year or 2 ago And said how run down it is now. Paid £7 odd for 2 pints of coke, rip off. Dont think the staff have interest as they are closing next week for the season. It’s a shambles. Go else where and spend your well earn’t money. Avoid at all costs !!!!

Went here twice during our stay in dawlish, I was a bit apprehensive as there have been quite a few bad reviews. It just goes to show don't believe everything you read, food was of good quality both visits, staff were very helpful and the value of the food for what you pay is unrivalled in the area (other two pubs very pricey and the food is grim). I would recommend.

Only stopped for a quick drink. Excellent friendly service. Even told us about breakfast and food they did. Looked an excellent menu though and we maybe back.

Went for an evening meal whilst visiting the area on a short break. Place was very quiet. Food was ok but menu limited and the food was not great value for money. Staff were friendly. Toilets were abit meh! Sink broken in the ladies.

Waiting for the bus , popped in with the grandchildren for a quick drink, 3 halves of lemonade and half of lager for £8.50. No wonder the place was empty, makes lemonade £4 a pint,

What a cracking place to eat their menus are so nice and value for money. Would recommend to any of my friends and family who are visiting Dawlish Warren to go and eat here. Xxx

This is a large pub near the beach. There is a kids play area out the back. To be honest, service could have been better and it wasn't busy when we arrived. The outside garden area needs some tlc as it just looks tatty and worn out. We started going to other pubs in the area as were a bit put off by the decor.

The Silly Goose is 100% the best place we have visited. The first night we ate there, we were a late evening order, a member of the team came to let us know that they stop taking orders around 10-15 minutes before the kitchen closes, so we decided to head in to order quickly. The chefs prepared food for 14 people this close to closing, the staff were all incredibly friendly, and the food was prepared perfectly. Because of this amazing experience, we chose to visit a further three times within the week we were staying locally. Each visit came with the same friendly service and stellar food - the peppercorn sauce was delicious and after expressing how much we enjoyed the food, the chefs came out to chat with us and shared some top tips. You can really tell from the feel of being there that the team enjoy what they do, it shows in their service. Furthermore, they serve the best Pinot Grigio I have ever had (it's called "Arapala Sky" and you should try it). We cannot thank the team enough for all they did to make us feel welcome and provide great food and great service. Thank you all so much! We will certainly visit again!

A fantastic pub. We were a very large group of 23. We pre booked tables. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was lovely and service was quick even though the pub was relatively busy. Overall very impressed and will come back next time I am in dawlish warren.

Very quiet when we went in but it was a Tuesday night. My meal and my son and daughters was lovely, hot as it should be. But my other son who decided to have the warm chicken and bacon salad was disappointed, chicken was dry and cold. Tables could do with a good wipe down, they were very sticky! Staff were friendly.

Went in for Sunday lunch which was very disappointing compared to the meal in the week. Sticky table. Service was quick but dinner was not good. Vegetables as soft as baby food and portion size was small. Not the most expensive dinner but not good value. Also the wooden kids area needs attention. The climbing frame is incredibly dangerous. A kid over 2 stone would go through it. Think the place would do well with some investment.

Easily the WORST food I've ever eaten. The burger can't even be classed as meat. The pizza was shocking, I don't even understand what sort of base that was but it was vile. Drinks were flat. Also the food was so expensive. Just awful. Highly advise people to not eat here. I feel sick!

Bartender very slow with drinks, we intended to have food until we saw state of outside tables very dirty hadn't been cleaned in a long time! Wouldn't consider eating in this dirty dive of a pub, kids play area very dangerous with signs up not taking any responsibility.. park was literally falling to bits, ladies toilets had sink covered in clingfilm saying use sink in disabled toilet, no soap and filthy! This place needs serious investment, it's in a ideal location for tourism but company obviously not putting a penny into tourism, which will be lost as place is a dump as it stands, could be great family pub but not without ploughing money back in !
