Went for an evening meal whilst visiting the area on a short break. Place was very quiet. Food was ok but menu limited and the food was not great value for money. Staff were friendly. Toilets were abit meh! Sink broken in the ladies.
The Silly Goose is 100% the best place we have visited. The first night we ate there, we were a late evening order, a member of the team came to let us know that they stop taking orders around 10-15 minutes before the kitchen closes, so we decided to head in to order quickly. The chefs prepared food for 14 people this close to closing, the staff were all incredibly friendly, and the food was prepared perfectly. Went here twice during our stay in dawlish, I was a bit apprehensive as there have been quite a few bad reviews. It just goes to show don't believe everything you read, food was of good quality both visits, staff were very helpful and the value of the food for what you pay is unrivalled in the area (other two pubs very pricey and the food is grim). I would recommend.
