We came to Torrington on a short break and this pub is by far the nicest in town - certainly the most welcoming from the outside. The Sunday lunch was nice and accommodates vegetarians too - if you ask. Alcohol seems reasonably priced and service was nice and quick. Good atmosphere.

The Cavalier Inn is very welcoming. The Sunday lunch was spot on . We had a roast beef dinner with loads of different vegetables. The staff were excellent ?. It's also dog friendly as well.Food & drinks: Good price for the huge dinner that you get served. The alcohol is a good price too.

We have just moved into the area and decided to try out our local pub. We had a delicious meal that was good value for money. My husband’s mixed grill was a good size and he said it was very tasty with his steak cooked just how he asked. My buffalo chicken burger was very tasty, the chicken was very tender and juicy. My son’s sausage and mash was tasty and as he doesn’t like peas, I asked the waitress (who we later found out was named Cherry) to swap them for baked beans and she said that it was no problem at all.

The bed stinks of dogs. The food had hairs in it and the dogs that the owners had barked all night. I could hear the two males loudly having sexual imtercourse which is out of order. I would not recommend.
