My wife and I called in for Dinner my first impression was that it was very quiet, however the locals and the staff were very friendly and quite happy to chat. We decided to try the steak I had a ribeye and she who shall be obeyed had the sirloin. The chief a South African chap came out and had a chat he took our order and he could not have done it better the food was excellent made fresh to order. If you are in Combe Martin don't be put off with the negative ninny reviews, or that its a bit shabby sheik its a nice place and you should try it I will definitely be back next time I am in Combe Martin.

One of the best pubs ever, have 2 beautiful dogs that fell asleep on my lap, and were very well behaved. Food was cheap and absolutely beautiful. Chef was extremely friendly and kept us updated on our food and brought us some amazing home-made sauces. One little dog was so friendly, and jumped up on a chair if anyone stood up, and rested their head on my leg while eating which I didn't mind, but he would move if asked and would sit behind the bar. So sad I had to leave him! The staff were so wonderful and friendly and If I wasn't here on holiday I would be a regular. Absolutely loved it, keep it up guys ♡ Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful decorations with a loverly stone wall throughout. Couldn't have been better, highlight of my holiday, 10/10 recommended.

The only pub in combe Martin that is reasonably priced. Owners are great company and very friendly. This is a pub that welcomes dogs and they have 3 beautiful ones of there own and are well behaved.New chef has just started here and can not fault his food. The menu sounds a little dull but the result is spectacular in taste. The menu does not do him justice but his cooking skills are second to none.Really felt welcome here. Can not express this enough. So much so that I had to drink more than usual ?Thank you all so much. Looking forward to returning and please say Hi to Taff for us. His mac and cheese is now in the oven ?

Went to watch footy while on hols and hoping to get some food, sadly all we could get was crisps, have eaten here few years ago but not sure if they still serve food at other times?! Bar made friendly though.

Deceptively big sports bar with a great selection of drinks and cracking food, especially the venison burgers! We came through on a Sunday evening after a long day walking on the South West Coast Path, almost nowhere in Combe Martin was open and serving food, but the landlord here sorted us out with fantastic and very reasonably priced dinner and drinks as well as lots of friendly chat and banter. Thank you!
Thank you so much for a lovely buffet and space in which to celebrate my son's Christening and second birthday. Everyone commented that the food was lovely, staff friendly and helpful along with the garden being a lovely sun trap.We had a fantastic time and all were helpful going above and beyond what I expected.Thank you once again.

Terry is a lovely fellah, and despite being a Tottenham fan is is incredible easy going and helpful.Pub has the best burgers in town served simply and quickly (supplied by John May local butcher) kid, dog and adult friendly and sports always on the tv. Cheers Rich & Cath

Being new to Combe Martin we went down Christmas eve for a quick drink, played a few rounds of darts with the family and was made to feel very welcome by the Landlord, had a lovely evening listening to the locals singing karaoke in the background ?
