On the plus side, the food was freshly cooked, on the downside you wait forever outside on the harbour wall where the local idiots pull wheelies on their electric bikes. Fish and chips overpriced for what they were. Comparable places under £10, here £12

One of the best Fish and chips we have had. Lovely mushy peas too. We love our fish and chips and this place did not disappoint us at all. Lovely helpful service too. Right on the harbour and certainly worth a visit.

Best Gluten Free fish n chip takeaway in North Devon. Ilfracombe lovely location. Food cooked to order. With our daughter being celiac we have to be careful. Here it's perfect for all the family regardless of being gluten free. Always been extremely pleased but never taken any pictures of the food and that's because it all tastes so good we don't want to mess around taking pictures. Staff are always polite and friendly whatever the season. If your wanting fish n chips or sausage n chips. (Lots on the menu) Try here you won't be disappointed. If anything you won't want to go anywhere else again. Think it's around ten quid for fish and chips but well worth it. Fresh fish caught by local fisherman, potatoes from local farmers and cooked by local people.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free but remember gluten free is for everyone.

batter light/crispy and fish lovely and flakey . One of the party had gluten free fish and said it was light and crispy batter. All hot and not greasy. Staff were friendly and let us know it would be 20 mins wait as they cook fresh for each order...just as we like. Glad we visited ?Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

Just ordered and munched our way through some fantastic fish n chips, beautifully cooked and the gluten free option was super tasty as well. Mushy peas and curry sauce were sublime! Shop was super busy, so we collected. We’ll be back!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free option was great, crispy and super tasty!

Unbelievably expensive for what it is (£4.90 for a portion of chips!!!!!) but I’m guessing this is because of the location, felt a bit of a rip off paying this on a cold dark night in February!!Friendly service but the staff are clearly overworked and seemed overwhelmed with delivery orders. I had to wait over twenty minutes for our takeaway, which I was happy to do as I was told this before I ordered. They understand gluten free procedures. Our fish was slightly dry! I wouldn’t recommend going here, but too be honest there are limited choices.

Ordered cod chips peas curry .cod was very very greasy not enjoyable at all , chips was OK , peas where tasteless, curry was that powder made but chunk of powder at bottom of carton absolutely horrible... overall experience the place needs updating ,not very clean hygienically makeing gravy in a jug , very expensive for what you receive, it my personal opinion it looks like inside the shop and taste of food , they just trying to make as much profit as they can with no care about how the food taste shame really because it could make a lot more profit if it took care of the the food and the customers buying it is not even in holiday season so it just goes to show what it thinks of the locals who live there ,.i will not be returning..... try it out for yourself

Parking: It's the food not the parking

Lovely fish and chips cooked to order. The fish batter was really crispy and the meal was of a good size and very enjoyable. The staff were polite and friendly and I would visit again

Used to use Lynbay regularly as the food and portion sizes were great. Not so impressed any more thoughLarge chips are comparable to a regular size elsewhere and the prices are way overboard. Large chips alone is £4.90, as an example Squires in Braunton is £3.50 for a much bigger portion. Lynbay also lack vegetarian optionsService though is always fast and friendly

Fish and chips and gravy. It was lovely! Generous portions. We ate in.

Definitely not the best fish and chips I’ve had. The fish was fresh and was nice however the batter was soggy and the chips were tough. No napkins were available so I was given blue kitchen roll. Not worth £13.After I finished eating, I walked my rubbish inside and was told she couldn’t accept the rubbish. How can you not accept rubbish that you’ve produced? So for that environmental reason you’ve lost another star. I was directed to the bins at the end of the road but it doesn’t paint a very good picture of yourselves and keeping your community clean.

Possibly went at the wrong time of around 4pm, not many other fish and chip shops appeared to be open at this time. The place looked run down in the seating area and behind the counter (old paint worn off chipboard. ) Which if you get a banging fish and chips I don’t care! I’ve been to plenty of rough looking places that serve great food. Staff friendly enough. Fish cooked fresh to order along with chips. I found the fish greasy and rather small fillet. 2 haddock and one chips cost around £18. The chips were ok. Ironically or not….not really much to write home about.

Women serving very rude. Food shockingly bad. Batter on fish and chips soggy. Kebab included chopped beef burger. Will never go to van at Stowford Farm Meadows again. Better off flushing your money down the toilet!!!!!
