Went for Mothering Sunday lunch and was blown away by the quality and quantity of food provided. At the prices charged you’d expect ’cheap and cheerful’ but it was above and beyond expectations by a long country mile. Not the first visit, possibly the best, and by no means the last.

A great friendly pub. They serve excellent food. Outside area is nice and away from cars. It would be even better in the summer. If you visit in the evening you would be advised to book. The have an event most nights see.

Pool table and dart board.Nearby activities: Pub is on the main Kingsbridge to Dartmouth road. Easy parking. A reasonable spot to start walks to Beesands, Torcross and Slapton Ley.Walkability: Easy to park or walk to. On the main road from Kingsbridge to DartmouthFood & drinks: Pub food. Chilli con carne, fish and chips, burgers.... Sensible pricing. Some excellent beers, Otter Ale and Jail Ale, in perfect condition

Great village pub. Have been visiting Stokenham for many years + the Church House remains a good , dependable watering hole. Basic winter menu available currently but food always lovely.

Sunday lunch was very nice. Arrived and table was ready immediately. advised to order drinks at the bar and our choice of Sunday lunch which was efficient. Sunday lunch arrived literally within 5 mins of ordering! table cleared quickly and asked for dessert which also arrived very quickly. so! 9 out of 10, the only reason I would not give ten is that the beef was not as tender as we would have liked which we both agreed. the rest of the roast dinner was lovely.

Excellent tasty and great portions at a very affordable price staff very efficient and friendly great atmosphere all round thank you
The Church House Inn has recently been through a reboot. Last time I visited, it offered rather pretentious food. Now they are focused on proper pub food at decent prices. Substantial portions, tasty. Good choice of drinks with real ale only £4.50 a pint.

We went for Sunday roast lunch, great selection offered, beef, pork, chicken and vegetarian options. We both went for the roast beef, really well cooked, served with roast potatoes, parsnips, sweet potato mash and cauliflower/ broccoli cheese Yorkshire pud, portion size was ample, also offer a short and simple selection of deserts, definitely will be back.Noteworthy details: Dog friendly,
