We had beautiful homemade meals namely vegetarian lasagne and burger and chips. We was more than happy to wait a tad bit longer to have our meals made from scratch with fresh ingredients. Having said that it wasn't a silly wait at all, we've waited longer for a frozen meal in Beafeater! The owners were really welcoming and outgoing. We would highly recommend stopping here for a drink and proper grub. Absolutely delicious ?

This is a great place - a proper, traditional village pub. Welcoming staff. Great, freshly made, food served in generouos portions. And... £10.95 for a pint and a curry - excellent value for money. Definitely recommended.

Popped in for lunch while passing through Bow village.Very friendly staff, very welcoming as soon as we stepped in.Food was lovely and all homemade. I had a Cheese Burger and my wife had Lasagne. We can recommend both. Portions are plentiful.Very interesting bits and bobs and period features in the 16th century pub.We would certainly recommend it and will definitely return when next in the area.

Lovely little pub with great pub food. Landlord and landlady made us feel very welcome and coped really well as we were a large unexpected, hungry bunch of tourists. The garden looks like it would be nice in the summer

Absolutely gorgeous food. We ordered the cheeseburger and the beer battered cod and it did not disappoint, Thankyou so much, we will be back! They went out of their way to make sure that we had tartare sauce, so impressed x
