I visited the new market tavern the other day, I've lived in Plymouth my entire 36 Years and never visited this place.. I was very pleasantly surprised, lovely atmosphere, the staff were very welcoming and polite, the other customers were all lovely. Overall I am very impressed and intend to visit again for future drinking with friends that I plan..
Was a bit of a run down pub, but now a vibrant city centre pub, gets ultra busy on Saturdays, clientele edges towards the older customers, service can be a bit on the slow side at times, but always some good conversation to be had. The council run car park at the rear is no longer just disabled badge holders only, has between 2 or 4 real ales most days, check this establishment out, the Landlord knows his stuff, they also serve a varied menu, part of the Stonegate group.

Excellent pub new landlady and family are great. Really friendly and kind. Like to get to know their customers. I only go out once a wk and I go there every wk. Everyone should give it a try it's a great
