We came here for the weekend for my wife's birthday and I can't praise our experience enough. The room was lovely, the food was lovely but most of all the staff made the weekend for us. They looked after us so well and nothing was to much trouble. Hannah you and your team are a credit. Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend

A lovely pub, with attentive staff. We had reserved a table and were sat next to the fire, which was great on a freezing evening. We both had scampi and chips and it was delicious. We always stop at The Anchor Inn when we come to Beer and always enjoy the experience immensely. Thank you.

visited on New Years day for lunch. Staff were less than friendly, barstaff didn't know how to make a whiskey Mac and when told what was in one they didn't have ginger wine. Then ordered some Bloody Marys and they didn't know how to make that either and when told what was in one they didn’t have any vodka! When the food arrived it was largely inedible apart from the chips which were good. The veg was absolutely awful.

Featured in the Good Pub Guide. Popped in for a pint whilst staying in the delightful fishing village of Beer. Fine views over the harbour and a friendly and attentive barlady. A log fire but not on fire in the cosy bar area. An excellent pint of local real ale and a large glass of pinot grigio. Considerably more expensive than a similar order at a locals' freehouse pub up the road. ????

We stayed over the new year for 2nights , our room was very clean and comfortable, the bathroom was clean and the towels were lovely and fluffy. Hannah and her team all worked hard to ensure our stay was enjoyable and the food on News Eve and the rest of our stay was delicious . We have rebooked for New Year 2024.

Me and my partner took our 2 kids down for breakfast with santa yesterday. Wow what an amazing idea, our eldest absolutely loved it. The food was great and the staff were lovely. Very well organised event, will definitely be recommending.

Popped in for a drink and ended up staying for a meal. The four of us had the most delicious fish and chips. The staff were very attentive and welcoming. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending The Anchor Inn. Just a pity they cannot use locally caught fish

We dropped in last Monday lunchtime to treat my auntie who lives in Beer to a slap-up feed. Martin and the rest of the Anchor team were very welcoming. Fish and chips, sausage and mash, gammon and pineapple - all delicious and we also loved our pints of Thatchers Haze. Thank you for having us.
