What a lovely little spot to spend an hour! Friendly, attentive service and the nicest coffee we have had all holiday. Spotlessly clean and with those views what isn’t there to like. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

Everything at the beach was fine, beautiful water, nice and quiet, until me and my sister forgot a fork! So bad right?! And so, me, despite having severe issues talking in public decide to ask this store for 2 forks, I said: “Sorry for asking, but do you have forks?” And this old-looking man rudely looked at me up and down like I should question what I said before replying ‘yes’, nothing else. “Can I please borrow 2? Me and my sister forgot some, sorry for asking if you can not” And he replied “for your own food? You did not buy any food from us, and you ask me to give you a fork?” In such a rude and humiliating way, just for me asking for a bloody wooden fork, and also judging I brought my own food, as last time, we brought 2 ice creams that were terribly scooped once that it could fall off the cone if you licked it, and an around 10cm cup of coffee for £11.50?? So I’m sorry that I prefer to save money then spend it on a shop with rude and terrible staff. Only nice one was the young-lady.

We popped to Beer to see the last of the summer sun but found that our usual cafe was closed, not to worry we'll try a different breakfast instead. Unfortunately Chapples was the next breakfast available, after queueing for 20+ minutes we were informed that there were no chips available, bearing in mind that this was less than 45 minutes after they'd opened for the day. We were then informed that our breakfasts were the last breakfasts that they were serving today. Again, within 45 minutes of opening. Once ordered the breakfasts (and substitutes) were very quick to arrive and pretty decent, however the difference between a large and a small breakfast seemed nonexistent in all but price. It didn't affect our meals but the 20+ minute queue quickly dissipated once news of no breakfasts spread. As a business they must've lost some serious business today.

Came here for snacks and drinks followed by ice creams. Service for snacks and drinks were excellent. I then returned to purchase ice creams where a very pleasant blonde girl with glasses was serving and doing a lovely job, a short older man came in and complained that her ice creams were to big so that customers could hear. She obviously knew the young lads she was serving and was immediately embarrassed by the comment that was made. He was obviously the owner but he needs to polish up his management skills as you shouldn’t speak to staff like that especially in front of customers. It was in very poor taste and if it had been a child of mine i wouldn’t let them return to work there. It’s tantamount to bullying.

We we attracted by the really good signs leading us to them. Often a ‘sign’ of a good business. We had two crab sandwiches and cans of drink. Mine was on white bread - standard supermarket sliced stuff, which was disappointing. My crab also had four crunchy bits that I couldn’t eat. The service was good, the setting (clearly) was wonderful but the sandwich was not.

The smallest, meanest Ice Cream I have ever had. £2.70 for a tub in which the old man, who I presume is the owner spread out the least amount of Ice Cream he could get away with. It was as light as a feather and when I pushed it back together from its spread out shape it was about the size of a golf ball. Won’t be returning in a hurry, lots of other better places to take my custom, and I’m local.

Incredibly slow service. There were only 2 of us and we just ordered a panini and toastie. We waited over an hour. Each time we asked they just said it would be a long wait. They were totally disinterested in serving their customers.

I I visited in June ,This spot is a lovely place I was served by a lovely grey haired lady who was polite, smiley and professional but was spoilt by a man and a woman bickering/arguing not very discreetly. The food was good value for money and my crab sandwich was amazing! Shame about the atmosphere.

Visited for breakfast this morning and was served by a lovely lady and younger man making drinks all very pleasant and professional, when a short older man came in and spoke in a condescending way to the two servers for which I thought there was no need. They were doing a marvellous job making sure everyone was served quickly and efficiently and the queue kept to a minimum. The food was lovely, the drinks were perfect. In fact everything was brilliant except for the unpleasant man who obviously suffered from small man syndrome ?

Delightful beach setting and friendly staff. Disappointing flat white coffee more similar to instant and a “mid” (teen speak) deluxe milkshake

Staying for a few days and decided to try this for breakfast as it was a lovely sunny day and it’s right on the beach. Cooked breakfast and a breakfast sandwich were orders and we took a seat. We both had tea to drink as the coffee didn’t look up to much. The breakfast was delicious. Quality ingredients and packed with flavour. Nice runny eggs and hash brown were a lovely bonus. Highly recommend for breakfast.
