Can't comment on the rooms as only popped in for lunch, but the staff were very friendly and accommodating, reason I say that is please don't get to sit in front of the window by the gardens as there is a lovely gap that let's the howling wind through.Food was about normal, and average priced but the portion size was grim. Sausage and mash was just that as I saw one sausage on a dollop of potato, luckily I had burger and chips but it was a double pattie, thank god as it only came with 8 chips! Ooer.Any ways another word ofvwarningbifvyour thinking of popping in with kids the entry/exit door literally leads out straight onto the main road, that is not against the pub its just a warning for those with little ones.

As others have said, the veg with the roast are watery and bland. Despite being advertised with Yorkshire puddings, only one of our meals came with one... and a half of a Yorkshire at that! No bread sauce with the chicken either. One tiny dish of cold, soggy vegetables to share [though they did bring extra when asked - which were better quality) and cold gravy.Children's menu was mostly meat based, and one of the vegetarian options wasn't available.Staff were LOVELY and premises clean, but overall I don't think we will return.

I loved the fish dishes the previous owner served about 7 years or so ago. Unfortunately that changed a number of years ago and is no longer part of the menu. Recently tried this out and food was good, including children's menu. Would love to see more than one cider on tap.

Had a very nice Saturday lunch, my dog was welcome too. The pub itself is lovely and the girls who served us was very friendly. All in all a great experience. We came here having been refused entry at previously dog friendly The Hare and Hounds who aren’t admitting dogs currently due to refurbishing. Frankly we were more than happy with the alternative.

Nice location , nice clean place, friendly server, didn't have things that were on menu, peas very hard chips not great, wine was very expensive.

Our group ate here but the food was pretty average.Looked good on the menu and we only really wanted a lighter snack, very disappointed by the quality of bread for the sandwiches and club sarnies, bland white cheap bread is a real let down considering how many nicer varieties there are available, this will put us off coming back sadly ?Blue Ball, more like Bland Ball.
