We popped in to have a meal, we were made to feel very welcome, we had our 2 dogs with us, We were happily surprised to be told our dogs could have a free dinner! What a lovely thing to do. Our meal arrived in good time, I ordered a chilli con carne, it was spot on, I even told the staff how yummy it was! It was spicy to eat, the chilli was homemade. My daughter had burger and chips, again this was yummy as it was homemade. I would highly recommend this pub.

This is an excellent place for refreshment in sidmouth. With keen friendly staff willing to help, great atmosphere and extremely clean and tidy, it's a great place to chill and unwind!

Just had the best roast dinner, the food was amazing, my husband and me had a small roast and we couldn’t eat it all. It was amazing, roast pork and turkey was superb.Highly recommended, great friendly staff .Wheelchair accessibility: Level access

No atmosphere tape on bar a gave away. Looks like in the past renovations had taken place and now may be being renovated again.Facilities basic. On average a kind of sad place at the present.

The fish and chips were really good and plenty of it, however didn't come with tarte sauce or slice of lemon. Ordered a child's burger which was unrecognisable and the bun was solid. Lasagne had good flavour but was dry. We asked for ketchup as there wasn't any available, it never appeared went to bar to let them know about things and there was nobody around to talk too. So we left disappointed.

This pub feels lost, it doesn't know what it is anymore. All the pubs/cafes I. Sidmouth was absolutely rammed but this was completely empty.

It could do with a little bit of investment to freshen the place up

We went in for a few drinks a potentially look at lunch but it looks run down and filthy! We stayed for one drink but it felt so grubby, it was literally falling apart. The floor had duct tape down in several places, other area were patched up with MDF and others just showed an exposed foam like floor???! The floor was just exposed concrete, it was like we went in during a renovation but in checking the other reviews on here that’s normal! My husband said the men’s toilets stank of urine, I didn’t use the ladies loo as decided I’d rather use the public toilets down the road. Last serving was nice and friendly though.

The place is basically empty, no one to have a conversation with, rude staff and rubbish atmosphere! Poorly trained!
