The centre of Sidmouth was full of tourists and everywhere was full for lunch. We went a little further out of the centre and found this place. Looking through the door, it looked full as well but a young lady saw me and came over. She informed me that a table would be free very shortly. We waited about 2 mins and were then led to a very nice table with comfortable bench seats. The service was swift but our order was a little slow in coming. We have been here on holiday many times over the years and it is always a good meal with excellent service. One the few places where you can get a good quality meal with a generous selection of vegetables.

So glad we found this charming little place. Wonderful ambiance, great food and cheerful competent service. Traditional English home cooked food and so nice not to be addressed as “Guys” by Your Server covered in tattoos and piercings. Everything was perfect. Stepping through the door was like entering a portal into a much better and more elegant time.
