Four of us went for the Celebration tea and the service was definitely 5 star. The chef dealt with our allergy and vegan requests with flair and attention to detail (they had been given advance notice). The service was attentive but discreet. The food itself was wonderful bursting with flavours and texture. The venue on a cold March day was warm and welcoming. It was an experience as well as a ‘good tea’ and well worth the cost.

Went here for the sparkling wine tour and it was exquisite! We got the tour from the chief winemaker who was so informative and insightful about the whole process and made it so personal. The vineyards are very impressive, as is the restaurant. We tasted four very nice wines, and had the most generous cream tea with it - with the chef offering more jam and cream if needed! The front of house/manager was so friendly and told us everything we needed to know about the different bottles.It was a really great experience all round and the service was just the best we have experienced for a long time, making us feel so relaxed and welcome that you will want to go back again. What a hidden gem!! (Definitely recommend the bottle of sparkling attached!)

A fantastic small winery! The grand tour package was fantastic, so insightful and the guide was excellent! You could tell all involved were passionate about wine and their produce. The charcuterie board was brilliant and as were the cheeses. I look forward to seeing this estate rise to prominence!

A superb visit to the Calancombe Estate. Given a tour by Jonathan and then a walk round the estate. So beautiful and peaceful it was an absolute joy. As was the wine and gin we had back in the restaurant. We were tempted and thoroughly enjoyed the cheese the charcuterie and the olives. Totally unbelievable the waiting on staff were perfect as was Jonathan. Thank you so much for a splendid experience. We shall return!
We went to Calancombe today for the self guided tour. It was such a beautiful place and the staff were so lovely that we ended up staying for the wine tasting and lunch. Jonathon, the chef, was fantastic …incredible food, cooking from only locally or on-site grown produce, and Amy was a fantastic front of house. Such a friendly, warm environment, not to mention incredible wines - we couldn’t believe Devon could produce such amazing grapes!. This is the ultimate destination for an all round experience. Must go! Thank you for having us.

Owner and staff are so happy to help you and have excellent knowledge, I’m gutted we only decided to visit on our last day of our trip to Devon because we would have happily gone through the whole beautiful menu. CALANCOMBE IS A HIDDEN GEM. I went on a wine tasting tour in January this year and really enjoyed a personalised tour with Lance showing me and my wife around the wonderful vineyards. Very impressive and in a beautiful setting. The staff were brilliant at making us feel welcome and creating a warm atmosphere. They were very informative with a passion for producing wine. I have been on some brilliant wine tours throughout the world but often the produce is a disappointment. Let me tell you this wine is a delight. We bought some Vintage Reserve, Calancombe’s version of champagne and some Cassis along with some fig chutney. The sparkling wine is wonderful and we have been back since to purchase some more Cassis. It is fabulous with sparkling cider. Both me and my wife drink this as a favourite tipple now. We were served food with our wine tour which was very tasty and a perfect accompaniment to the wine. We are looking forward to returning to sample something from the menu. A touch of class with a warm friendly service. To be highly recommended.

The vineyard was beautiful to walk around and we sampled some incredible wines with friendly and interesting tasting guidance from the staff.
