We stopped here whilst staying locally for a drink on two separate occasions- very nice greeting, very dog friendly, immaculately clean and the food looks great although we didn’t eat. Good Luck guys!

Stunning calamari, roast was very good but pork was fairly fatty. Lovely country pub

Visiting friends and wanted to take them out for a meal. So glad they booked this pub. Our visit was outstanding. We had early dinner on Saturday, and I really can't say enough how brilliant the evening was. Great real ales (I particularly liked the Dartmoor Jail Ale), a good wine list, fantastic service and lovely staff. And the food for all four of us was just brilliant.I'm not sure when we'll next be in. Devon, but we will be back. Brilliant pub on all counts

Lovely country pub, well run by professional friendly staff, great ambiance. Very well presented food although two of our party disliked the topping on our steak and ale pie and so would order something different next time.

Really busy but nothing was to much trouble, food good quality, my only criticism was the batter on the fish not

Had the most wonderful meal here today! Well done to Steve and all the Cornish/blacksmiths team as they have created a wonderful menu and atmosphere. The staff are brilliantly attentive and the decor is homely and timeless. We had the roast today which was divine! Good quality cuts of meat and great sized portions, there was also a good selection of vegetarian options. Desserts were to die for and it’s always a good sign when the coffee is good! Everything is reasonably priced too and we can’t wait to come back here. Great job Epi x

Found a table had been reserved for my family after calling late on the lunch service without asking Damian to do this. Always friendly staff and always a great meal and visit. Thank you all.

Really lovely meal, excellent staff, lovely atmosphere, really liked that the new owners have kept the pub as a proper local while serving great food as well and not ridiculously expensive either. Well done staff!

Fantastic village pub. The new owners work so hard to make your visit the best ever. The staff are just amazing and very friendly indeed. More choice of cider would be great eg Devon Red.Parking: Really good

Food was lovely and the service was excellent. Another superb pub like the Cornish Arms and can't wait to return.

First visit ( hopefully not the last). A great balance between local boozer and food lead pub that ticked all my boxes, plus it’s dog friendly. Open fires, bar with a TV, if that’s your thing, plus a large separate dining room/area The menu is stacked with pub classics like prawn cocktail, whitebait, load fries, the classic burger, steak and ale pie, beer battered fish and chips and so much more, it’s a great menu and with so much choice I need to go back soon. The quality of the produce is just outstanding, the Phillip Warren Steak melted in my mouth and didn’t need a knife. Everything was super tasty and looked to good to eat Can’t wait to return
