Cute little cafe with nice coffee and an amazing pear and pistachio tart. Nice outdoor seating area overlooking the river

Only called in for a cappuccino whilst on a walk from Teignmouth over to Shaldon. A very pleasant welcome and at table service. Pleasant surroundings. The cappuccino was very nice. I didn't eat so unable to comment on the food.

This is a lovely café on the front at Shaldon. As it was my last day I opted for their cream tea. I was brought 2 slightly warm fruit scones with a pot of jam, a pot of clotted cream and a pot of real English Breakfast tea. There was plenty of choice on their menu and it all looked wonderful!Vegetarian options: There was a good choice of vegetarian and vegan cakes, I don't know about main courses as I didn't lookDietary restrictions: Quite a lot of the cakes and scones were gluten free

We visited as a family, had a cream tea for two plus a few other bits - it was delicious! Service was great, a real hidden gem!!

Enjoyed a lovely lunch at The Strand Cafe. The Asian fusion menu is a break from the norm. Hot smoked salmon salad was absolutely beautiful, an unusual blend of flavours but all worked perfectly together. Croc monsieur was fantastic as was the Devon Cheese Tea. Staff were friendly and attentive, facilities were clean and tidy. Only thing that I would feedback is it would be nice to add a couple of childrens options to the menu. My 3year old daughter had a cheese and ham croissant which was lovely but a sandwich option would be good and perhaps add Cucumber /carrot sticks instead of crisps on the side of child's option. Overall though a lovely and very memorable lunch, woukd definitely return.

We visit this cafe a couple of times a year when in the area, sitting inside or out. This week we wanted the Mussels but not the garlic sauce. The Chef spoke to us and said he can make special sauce for us. Not only were these the best mussels we have had but the sauce was terrific. Well done to the chef and all the staff for making us feel welcome and special. We have been back twice this week since.
