Had a friend's birthday meal in here last night for 12 of us. All of the other people in the party were locals so you would think the Owner would go out of her way to please them. How wrong can you be ???Waited over an hour for our starter's and then they messed up the orders for the main course .People had finished their main course before I even received mine and some of the others were also in the same boat as me.When it did finally appear, the fish I had had been pinched off the local cat and quicky dipped in batter and fried, the peas were stone cold and the chips were fresh from McCain's.No apologies from the owner of the Pub at all and when we asked for a reduction in the bill we were offered a free bottle of wine ( between 12 of us !!!!!) Or £10.00 off the bill !!!I could understand a bit if the pub was busy but there were only 4 other people eating there the whole time we were in the pub.Shambolic from the minute she took our orders in my opinion.

Wonderful place in a beautiful friendly village. We booked a table for an evening meal, which was stunning. Service was very good from a great team. We enjoyed it so much we booked for Sunday lunch, which again was fantastic. Thankyou so much for a lovely experience.

Absolutely fantastic stay hosted by the kindest people. We arrived a little later than usual and were nonetheless greeted with a warm welcome and even a steak dinner! The rooms have been recently renovated and are very clean. The location is quiet and peaceful with beautiful fields surrounding the village. The hosts kindly provided earplugs to help with early rookery bird noises but we chose not to wear them and were greeted with an orchestra of birdsongs in the early morning. Combined with a lovely breakfast, the hotel hotel left us with pleasant memories. Out of the 4 hotels we visited that bank holiday weekend this one takes the cake - highly recommend this gem! I regret not staying there for longer.

Stayed overnight on a Monday Bed n Breakfast with our 2 cockers. Lovely friendly Welcome from Laura. Very comfortable room Tea/Coffee ( some Biscuits might have added to our Experience) Had Dinner in the Bar - Great Food plenty of it We both had Steaks Cooked to perfection. Well supported by Locals and additional over night Guests to No problem Walking our Dogs

Our third visit to this lovely pub with rooms. Great staff, delicious breakfast, friendly locals, pretty location and not far from Exmoor! We had a relaxing three day stay with our teenage daughter and we booked the family suite of two rooms. We will be back....again!

Wonderful remote hotel with friendly staff. Had wifi, wonderful clean bathroom The room was clean tidy and perfectly prepared. Had everything you could want. Breakfast was lovely. We will deffintly recommend o people and come back! Thank you

Very clean and well equipped. Great bar and good food albeit a limited menu. The location may not be to everybody's choice but there is no doubting the comfort and cosiness. I chose it as a central location for a work schedule.
