Verry impressed, food was good, good portion size and good value for money.Nice atmosphere and very helpful and friendly staff.Very noisy atmosphere, struggled to hear our selfs think. (But it was a Saturday evening? But 2 large party's, were extremely loud as well as the one table constantly walking around the restaurant taking photos of there group)Over all will good experience and will come back just not on a Saturday.

Food was delightful, restaurant really clean, which makes a nice change to some of the restaurants around torquay. However, the star has to be Jose, old fashioned service like you used to receive years ago. Elegant, polite, well presented, very attentive. Jose - if the owner doesn't recognise your efforts I know some business people who will...keep doing what you're doing - I've been to Michelin Star restaurants that can't compete with your professionalism, care, and delightful service. Keep up the great work - you made our afternoon so fabulous. Thank you.

The food tasted like oil gave me food poisoning and was horrible! And over priced.

Nice restaurant, good staff but the food was a massive let down. It was just so cheaply made. The chicken on both dishes was clearly from a precooked packet and tough. The gorgonzola dish didn’t taste like it had any gorgonzola in it. The parmesan offered at the table was the cheap powdered variety. And each dish cost £17. For what? All the kitchen staff have done is open packets and boiled pasta. On the plus side the homemade tiramisu was very good. If only the mains were homemade.I didn’t complain at the time, it’s just too awkward. But I won’t come back.

Thought I'd update my review from one a number of years back. We have recently returned to Amici for a number of meals. Post lock down it's fair to say that some of the food dropped in quality. It seems to have gotten back to something similar to times past. The pizzas are very nice with a thin crispy base, but they are just pizzas, so here is the rub. The prices generally have increased alarmingly. The same can be said of other establishments, but I feel Amici have gone too far on that front for what they are offering. £6.10 for a cider,£17.50 for a carne pizza, £7.25 for two scoops of ice cream, £8.95 for a slice of brownie with a ball of ice cream. For 3 of us, 1 drink each (not wine), no starters, mains (no sides) and 2 puddings, we're left with a plus £80 bill. Sorry, but this feels a rather extreme for what we had.We do like to tip when deserved and the service is lovely there, but that view falters when the bill is so lofty.

I live in Torquay all these years but didn't visit this restaurant somehow. Good location and lovely atmosphere... I felt every time I passed the restaurant so decided to give it a try..... finally. My son had a pizza and I had a salad with chicken. My son said his pizza was alright but not impressive. My salad was underwhelming with very little sauce and chicken was lack of flavours and not appetizing. I probably should try other dishes to give fair judgement on overall food since this was my first time but don't feel like going back anymore as if this visit gave me a preview of how other menus would be like. The bill was over £50 with 2 soft drinks. I would rather go to Harvester or similar kind of range restaurant at seafront. I guess my expectation was too big.

Pleasant surroundings, nice food.Dietary restrictions: They were happy to make amends to the menu to support a dairy free diet.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp but no parking

I visited Amici for valentine's day trip to Torquay. Having read reviews we decided to book before we arrived. It is a lovely looking venue light and airy and clean.I was disappointed with the food. The starter priced at £18 for prawns and calamari. The calamari was not crispy as described the "batter" fell off and was very chewy. The main meal gorgonzola rigatoni with "grilled chicken". Was extremely oily. The chicken was cold and was not grilled chicken. It tasted like ready cooked slices from Tesco that had been defrosted. I couldn't eat it.Ordered a coke and got served coke zero but the waiter did change it for me.I didn't complain about the food just really disappointed and don't think I'd return.Parking: No parking outside
